  • THANK YOU FOR THIS UPLOAD. AMAZING QUALITY. LAYNE THE GREATEST

  • The story about "Friends Don't Let Friends Get Friends Haircuts" is still to this day hilarious

  • @stony911 i noticed that too :) great

  • Kurt Cobain, Layne Stalet and Jeff Buckley. 3 voices with so much emotions. All lost. :(

  • unbelievable voice from a guy looking like

    walking dead

  • I am so glad Layne decided to do this unplug because even though he was sick like he was this artist voice was still even more alive and so amazining and to prove to everyone that he still is an amazing and unique artist...........Love you Layne RIP

  • between eddie, chris, hurt, scott and layne.... fuckkkk its impossible choose

  • @hungerstriker27

Layne is the best singer, Kurt is the most talented/ influential musician overall, then Chris.

    My opinion anyway.

  • @hungerstriker27 - I'm just going toguess that the question was: "Who was the best singer during the 'GURNGE' era?" 1. Layne -AIC 2. Scott - STP 3. Chris - SG 4. Eddie - PJ.

You're right. It's impossible to anser.

  • @hungerstriker27 Andrew Wood had an amazing voice and would be still rocking it today if he was alive. He was one of the singers who kicked off the entire Seattle movement. Mother Love Bone, Temple of the Dog, Brad, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Nirvana--just to name a few.

  • @hungerstriker27 My list;

    1. Layne

    2. Eddie

    3. Kurt

    4. Chris

    5. Scott

  • this year is 10's anniversary

  • this is the best version of this on youtube. What a performance. one of my favorite songs of all time. I wish I could have seen Alice in Chains with Layne play live.

  • Bassline, drumline, voices, guitar solo... what a perfect song

  • CARAJO!!!!!!!!! así era la música!!!!

  • Yep

  • This was 1996, not 2002. Layne Staley was hardly seen between 1996 and his death in 2002. One of the saddest of all rock n roll stories

  • 2002. I find this sad. Layne was so fragile and sick

  • What year was this?

  • MOTHER LOVE BONE= ALL GREAT MUSIC FROM THE 90S!!!

  • Its so sad to see how was layne at that momment, so sick, but never lost the love for the music

  • he is sooo smacked out man :(

what a shame..now THIS was aTRUE LOSS of a beautiful Voice..(no other names mentioned)

  • 3 persons of the grunge died..... it's so sad !!! April, 5.... Saddest day ever.

  • Best version of this on youtube. Shame the title is so retarded :|

  • :( He reminds me of my brother.

  • wow no dislikes... that is what deserve this amazing song

  • I Fucking love Alice In Chains an i like how there are no dislikes because everyone likes these guys i mite post a video response of me playing along side this song i learned it a while ago

  • laynes voice has that emotional element of living through what he sings about that realness that makes it so incredible imo

  • How can you dislike this? This is true emotional music at its best. The agony, pain, and suffering heard through Layne's voice is truly one of a kind and honestly makes my shed tears. I wish, when i heard this for the first time at 14 yrs old, i could truly understand what he was feeling. In the end and looking back on it it makes this show one of the best shows ive ever seen. And thats without even getting out of my seat to move around to the music. AIC goes down as one of the best ever...IMO!!

  • FU Metallica! Hey, Hetfield. That's a singer!!!!!!

  • @corebare

lol you're still butthurt from that one concert when james said some stuff about layne (while being probably drunk)?

  • @corebare Thats bullshit you say that , Hetfield is a Heavy metal vocalist , Staley is grunge ... Thats like a rock singer trying to sing death metal , or a pop star trying to do metal ..?

  • @corebare i love AIC, but Metallica Moscow 1991.... F#ck off

  • @corebare

    Fucking too right!!!!

  • finally!!!!! no dislikes for once!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I miss you Layne... I miss your voice...

  • I love this song!! is my favorite♥... Sin duda alguna♥♥

  • Layne looks like shit BUT his voice sounds just as great as any other day. Fucking amazing and sad at the same time. Rest in peace, such a good singer.

  • Layne Staley had a unique gift.

He barely opened his mouth and this incredible voice would just come out!

It makes me get goosebumps every time.

  • HIGH,SAD AND HIM!

  • yes. you can see the pain. but he constantly reminded us that it was SELF-inflicted pain. nonetheless, R.I.P.L.S

  • Fucking amazing...what a beautiful talented soul. Hope you sing to me in heaven Layne. Still the best!

  • I tear up everytime I watch this video. It's so heartbreaking to see the pain in his eyes. God bless his tortured soul. I pray he found the peace he needed. RIP Layne. We miss you<3

  • Layne is so high during this

  • @Mike420F21 LoL... i think the same thing whenever i see this vid

  • into the flood again (8'

    R.I.P Layne

  • Cobain and Staley...two epic legends!!! REST IN PEACE GUYS!!!!

  • the greatest bassline in rock and roll. Along with an amazing riff and melody, add some intricate and fine drum work, and to top it off, one of the greatest vocalists of all time, although appearing physically weak, showing no signs of weakness vocally. When you sum up everything, this is one of the greatest songs ever, and one of the greatest performances ever. Layne Staley forever. Many try to immitate, but all fail to even come close to the singer he was

  • @1lucho89 He was my all time favorite singer of all time, so deep, his vocal range unbelievable taken too soon, alot of heartache and rejection from his father, that then led to the drugs, so sad, his father should be ashamed, he was one of the most remarkable musicians ever seen in my lifetime! I love all music, have a soft spot for grunge, born in 1966, and appreciate alot of music they were one of my favorites! RIP Layne!

  • @1lucho89 I agree man, R.I.P.

  • its hard to find good music like this today. n btw thats right, no dislikes :)

  • haunting vocal by layne....rip bro

  • damn kid you fucked up the title of the vid. Umplugged?? its unplugged numbskull

  • @kamikazi5489 Does that typo take away from you enjoying a great performance? If it does you should probably go play in traffic.

  • @HumblePie71 ha ha that what i was thinking to type

  • The Bass intro is amazing...

  • @NoiseismyHeaven yes it is

  • @NoiseismyHeaven its very simple but is magic

  • Into The Flood Again

Same Old Trip It Was Back Then

So I Made A Big Mistake

Try To See It Once My Way

****BEST PART OF THE SONG... LAYNES VOICE IS STUNNING, UNPLUGGED IS THE BEST!! HAD THE BEST SEX TO THIS SONG!!

  • @bnbsmith07 I hope it took longer than 3 minutes and 45 seconds...

  • @psychaospath Yes, we had an alice in chains play list going!! lol

  • This is so intense

  • Great video - you can see the pain in his eyes - sad!

  • @dsmall10 Yeah you really can, I agree. Very sad he was quite talented and so young. Drug's are a terrible thing.

  • @dsmall10 thats not pain..thats opiate euphoria!

  • @dsmall10 thats not pain its the nod
