She looks and acts just like my mare! My Appy will go any where you point her and do anything you ask of her but when she is turned out to be a horse...she acts the same way! I wouldn't trade her for the world!! We have been partners for 15 yrs now!
I have an Appaloosa mare that went through hell and abuse before she came to me. She cannot stand adults, but kids are fine. She loves my son and tolerates the rest of us. She can be warm and kind to my son, but the rest of us have to take what we can get. Got to love those scarred souls.
She is an awesome horse. I would LOVE a horse like that. We're moving to Santa Fe this year. Let's go trail riding! My horses are sweet and nuzzly but worthless on the trail (they just havent had the chance). My bad. Where are you? It looks kind of like the Apache Ridge area where friends of ours live. Keep riding. Teylas great.
aww i think she is cute and i have a paint horse like that she only likes me cause i have had her since i was 5 , she is mean in her stall, but she is an awsome trail horse
i have a rescued ap she nervous of people she just want people to be her frnd and is on a fiel on her own next to gelding she gets bulied by the other horses she like to get very close to them and she has nearly got booted a couple of times.she has a bad right side and parralised right side of her face she has therapy and is getting better.she understands now that not everyone want to hurt her and she give me cuddles all the time!
awesome horse... my mare acts like that too... same situation we resuced her from a bad bad place (i sound six lol) and she acts like a brat sometimes but she really is a good horse.
She's gorgeous! I think she loves you very much for saving her- I'm sure she is wary of the human nature after what she'd been through. I think you're right, in her own way, she loves you. She's probably extremely grateful too! I love appies :)
she's very beautiful, i was wondering wat type of ranking r they in, like is toby the head stallion? but she looks very comfortable in her home, r u able to ride her? or was that another one
Thanks. We have 4 mares and 1 gelding (Toby, the draft). She bosses around everyone except Toby! I pony him from off of her sometimes. I ride her a lot. She's incredible in the mountains.

Thanks for your nice comments. Yes, she was being mistreated when I got her. She's very aloof, but she's a wonderful mountain horse and can go all day long with a big fast walk up in the high country.

Did you check her back?
smth really hurting disturbs her... Seems to be back, it's quite hollow and on walk some difficulties appear, but veeery slight ones....
