  • vaccine mean stop get pregnant?

  • Do you get bruising/soreness? My belly (taking subQ shots currently, start POI soon) is bruised up a bit and a little sore. Wondering what to expect with POI. I forgot lumps!

  • oil injection really pain how do u take it urself ??

  • that's so cute. lol. thank you for demenstrating.

  • Thanks for this! I'm with Circle too and I'm not to the injection parts yet so I like to see someone else doing them so I'm prepared! Congrats on both surro babies!

  • thanks for making this video. still going to the clinic everyday but maybe one day i'll be able to do it myself.

  • Thanks for providing this video... I applied my first injection today and I did use the needle that came with the injection yes the big needle.. .... Yes I know it hurts :( .. I am going now to get small needles...... Maria

  • since this video I had completed a second surrogacy, and gave birth Aug 28, 2009. I didn't use ice the 2nd go, I was just too impatient, plus it felt the same either way in my opinion.

  • forgot to add - I used Progesterone in Sesame oil1 - 2ml injections w/ a 22g 1 1/2" needle. We used CFA (connecticut fertility) each time, and got pregnant the first time, both surrogacies. I don't think I would ever use another clinic, I ♥ CFA, and my agency Circle Surrogacy

  • Thanks a lot for sharing. It gave me confidence to DIY.

  • ouch.. i hate needles,,

  • Thank you for showing us this, it's SO helpful. Is that natural progesterone or synthetic?

  • I work in UK with IVF and im progesterone. I would say the lady is using natural progesterone (Gestone?), using the US dose of 100mg a day (2ml / 2cc).

  • That is a tough woman!!

  • Thanks so much. I got my courage after watching you, since my husband needs to travel for work. I hope you and your baby are doing well.

  • what a brave lady !! such an inspiration!

  • thx for posting this, it is so helpful.

  • Thanks for this! Did ur IVF work? FYI I use vials of Gestone. I put the vial in my bra approx 15 mins b4 injecting & put an ice-pack on my behind at same time. Warming the PIO a bit longer makes it runnier & so easier to inject. You may feel a scratch as the needle goes in but apart from that,it's painless as ur numb from the ice pack. The muscle aches later though, so 2nite after the jab I used a sticky heated patch for muscle strains. Will let you know if it works or not! Good luck to all!

  • Update - the heat definitely helps but a microwaveable wheatie bag is better than those heated patches

  • don't use ice - it cools the tissue and so makes any muscle more rigid and so more painful when oil goes in and spreads muscle fibres apart. Also, if walk around after injection - avoiding staying still, it helps.

  • I just wanted to say thank you for posting this. I have to do my own too, and seeing your video made me so much less anxious about it. Good luck to you.

  • This vedeo is so hot.... and touching deeply of heart.... nice job.

  • thank you so much for posting the vid. We found it to very helpful. You are so brave to do it yourself. Just had my first injection tonight after watching your post, and you made it look so easy, that really helped me to not make such a big deal out of it. thanks again

  • U r so hot & strong

    Wishing u a safe pregnancy & delivery

  • Thanks for posting! Good thing my husband is a nurse. I don't think I could do it myself.

  • Thanks for posting. It gives me courage for tonight when I have to do my first PIO injection. Please remind folks to wash hands before starting and to use alcohol wipe on the counter top surface before starting. that is what I was told anyway!

    Golda

  • hmm. I only recapped it 2 times... the second time was out of the norm.. but I can cut out the one recapping and no recapp at all

  • you shouldn't re-cap over and over again.. the needle tip can rub against the inside and dull the point.

  • Helpful tip: Hold syringe in you hand for a minute just prior to injection. It makes the oil thinner and helps for a MUCH faster injection time. Also rubbing the area in circles with a hot damp washcloth eases the sting and helps make sure that there are no lumps from the medicine.

    Good Luck!

  • I used to put it the syringe in my bra or under my arm to help warm it up.. but then I just got tired of waiting, I had to do it before going to work in the morning, and I couldnt see the difference when I stopped "warming" it before injecting it. ... and having to do the injections for 12 weeks doesnt help with the lumps.. I tried the rubbing to reduce lumps, but that didnt help much either..

  • How do you know which place to poke? Aren't you scared it'll hit something else?

  • LOL! progesterone what is it good for ?

  • sustaining a pregnancy on an IVF cycle.. your body normally produces it in a normal pregnancy as well

  • Thank you!!! I couldn't find anybody to put my injection...and after I saw you..I said to myself..I CAN DO THIS!!!!....thanks!

  • hope it has been working out for you if you have choose to do them yourself!

  • Great video!! Ahh brings back such fond memories, and to think I'm all excited to start again!! Yay!! :)

  • ahh.. and hoping to do another one myself now.

  • OMG. I don't know if I can do that. Looking at a 3.3 progesterone level. :(

  • for how long? how was it anyway

  • are those steroids? if so hook me up with some

  • no not at all

  • Very nice this video.... you are beautiful... Do you have another your video??

  • Decapping and recapping your second needle, the one you use to inject yourself, runs the risk of accidentally bumping the needle against the cap.

You want to first clean the site which you inject, then change your first needle for the second, this way you won't have to recap and decap so much. It also allows the site to dry off a little so the injection doesn't burn.

If the needle bumps against the cap, or even rubs against it slightly, it will lose it's sharpness.

  • well I guess I'll remember this for the next time I have to do PIO again.

  • may be god with u

  • He always is!

  • o_O

  • yeah thanks

  • OMG. I hate needles. I know they don't hurt, but just seeing that freaks me out. I would have to make someone else do it.

  • yeah that was impossible for me.. no one would help me out.

  • Can you give in your arm?

  • not for something I am having to do everyday. no thank you

  • Congrats on your positive betas and very cute ultrasound pics!!

I feel for you sweetie, I did 12 weeks of PIO in my thighs once a day and twice a day Heparin sub-q in my stomach. We ladies go through a lot to have babies, don't we?!?

  • oh ouch yes we do.

  • video interessante!!!molto coraggiosa nel farsi la puntura!!hai altro video del genere!!!ciao!!

  • How long do you have to do that for?

  • once a day in the morning every morning for approx 50-60 days. (until 10 weeks pregnant)
