i nerver know there were different budgies i have 1 english budgie and 3 normal ones he is massive my mum thought he was disabled lol.

His voice is so soft! I can hear my male in the other room chirping his head off (he doesn't speak human so he speaks budgie to me very loudly, trying to get me to understand!)

i have a question...i bought a girl budgie and wated until it was old enough to mate...then i bought a boy budgie that was around the same age as her. now my guestion was the girl is doing all of the loveing and singing to the boy, not the other way around... why is this?

sorry i couldn't resist the last comment, i have sadly lost my budgie to what im not sure, but im curious a few years ago i was at a pet shop with various breeds and i remember a breed of bird very much like a budgie but these were nearly twice the size compared to the standard breed any idea's to what they may have been??thanks. beautiful bird by the way and they look very happy:)

Aw.. I love English budgies - I've owned more Americans but the English outlived all the others.. Is that normal, I mean do English birds have a longer life expectency? I think he must have been weell bred, I mean he wasn't the biggest Budgie I've ever seen but he did tower over my Americans..

The English grow to be bigger then the Australian and for how long they live I have know idea.

'english' is slang for a exhibition budgie, though just if a budgies bigger, people think they have a english budgie.

that personally i find it so annoying, as it's not really ¬¬ it just has a quailty of the BS asks for, and not even at its best.

No English budgies are acutally expected to live shorter lives than the americans - about 6-8 years, where the americans live 8-10 years. But all is relative :)
