That sound in his throat sounds like something from The Grudge. It would be really creepy if the setting was different. I don't imagine you'd feel comfortable left alone with him in his space. My grandma used to have a turkey that gobbled at you like he was cursing whenever you passed beneath his tree. She tried to get me to catch it. It's about impossible to catch a turkey that doesn't want you to. It ran off to join the other wild ones eventually.
