To bad that they dont make a more powerfull version, with some loading capacity - At leaste for a week-end for two persons... One version for "Light sport aircraft" and one version for PPL pilots.

It would be great if you could take at least a luggage..

LOW tech, NOT high tech.... Prop driven, combustion engine, fixed wing are all OLD tech from 1899....Looks cool though.

@Hipster420 So what, we should all have rotorcraft? hovercraft? In earths thick atmosphere aerodynamic flight will always be easiest and cheapest. Jets are complicated and expensive to maintain. For LSA operations a rotax is perfect, cheap, reliable, and parts are plentiful.

What else would you propose besedes a combustion engine? You know of an ion propulsion system in production somewhere? Turbine engines are in fact internal combustion engines, they just don't have pistons......

@mdr6273 The vid stats that this is NEW CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY, it's not, it's the same old tech we've had for over 100 years....But again, it does look really cool...And yes I agree an Ion propulsion system would be a fine example of NEW tech....

what is the government doing? LSA should allow 3 seaters... dont they have ANY idea how much of the demographic in question is a family with 1 child?!??!? DISAPPOINTING! everyone should be fighting for this extra bit of space! as for the a5, fabulous! (if only they could engineer a driveable version too like the terrafugia.. weight weight weight..)

@thekaizer666 With only 20 hours of flight training to be a sport pilot I'd be ok with a 0 passenger restriction....... I like the new category of airplane the LSA, but the sport pilot rating scares me.... No medical certificate required, and only 20 hours of flight training? YIKES!!!
