  • I agree this is long overdue, hopefully there is political capital to take responsibility. Is there any way that we can make each mode of transport budget neutral? Such that gas tax + tolls pay for the entire highway system, that plane/train tickets pay for those systems?

    The freight rail system appears to pay its way, as its a private system. I'm wondering if that is a model for how to transform our system?
