  • @leylandcarsloverslea

    Before E92 was E46... maybe is e46

  • Is this E92? Sounds nice :D

  • @beriomario I think its the generation before the E-92. E-92 version doesn't sound this good.

  • nice they have the straight cut gearbox as usual , i love the sounds , better than any turbo = =

  • warm up, he just doenst put any effort when he get passed by others

  • He didn't, because all that cars were from DIFFERENT classes. First was LMP1 class car (Audi R10? ), then Aston Martin DBR9.

    Long after that 4 LMP's, DBR9 and C6.R (another GT1 class car). Then again LMP1 (which overshoot the apex :) ) and C6.R GT1.

Did you see any GT2 class cars (where that BMW is racing in)? No, but that doesn't mean, there were no GT2 ;-)

We have no idea what was going on, on his back.

  • very nice onboard

  • do you guys think BMW would put a such a driver into a race ? do you think BMW had such a slow car for Le Mans ? do you think BMW would risks their reputation doing this ? sure they try their best to win the competition. everyone of them does...now dont argue about its speed....maybe the driver is checking out the track and warming up

  • its called a warm up guys you dont get serious untill you are in a real reace

i doesnt even look like a race (wheres da crawd?!?! no cheers?)

one thing though its as loud as its father (bmw m3 gtr) same as straight cut gear box?

  • there is no crowd, this track is in the middle of the desert...

this race just sucks overall, the track is so damn boring, with the same types of turns each time and the racing is bad too. the only good race here was in grand-am gt in 2009.

I have no clue why they continue to go to this shitass track when there are way better ones available. examples: watkins glen (why the hell aren't alms here?!??) and barber motorsports park in birmingham, alabama.

  • skinnbone, i think youre wrong. Ive been doing track days and schools for 10+ years now and Ive got a good ammount of hours and laps under my belt, and Im pretty good.

Those guys driving are PROS theyre doing a great job driving that car. They do consistent laps while semi-preserving thetires. Yeah they could go deeper into the corner, but the tires would start cooking.

The camera angle throws it off too, we cant see the road like he sees it. Do you have telemetry data or something?

  • automatic or manual gear ? I think that it is automatic gear.

    w/o clutch

  • it's sequential manual. Google "BMW M3 GT2" and you will find some picture of its interior.

  • I thought he was going too fast until the F1 car passed him:)

  • An F1 car at MMP? Do tell.

  • 1:18 you thought?

  • That's an LMP car.

  • no F1 in alms noobzor.

  • is it me or can the driver shave a couple seconds opf his lap time if he puts more throttle on the turns, just before he loses grip, but enough to go 5mph faster on the turns?

  • yea i agree with you

  • Well since you dont race professionally, its probably just you.

  • well not professionally yet, but i consider myself semi pro

im still amateur technically, but im waay better then some semi pros. and krap. r u pro?

  • no krap watch it again... he really can go faster, this guy wasnt putting the car to the limits, you dont have to have any racing experience to realize that.

and it is not me kuzz suubs agreed with me

  • This driver is a pro, hes is driving the car at the limit. You dont know the track conditions, his tires, his brakes, etc... He's driving the BMW /PTG car for a reason, hes an excellent driver.

  • it could be a warm up run too. you never know.

BMW is more then that right there, i know they can engineer something better then that. and you have to agree with me. and watch it again. he can put more throttle on the turns and shave a few seconds off his time. im not saying 20 seconds, im saying a few. less then 5

if you do not see that, then this argument is pointless

  • Well you can critique his driving ability once you get on the track with him. Until then, my money is he is doing the best he can with the car and tires he's got. Look me up when you get on the track in Utah though. I think we all want you to demonstrate your amazing skills. Maybe we can fly in Bill and Joey for a lesson.

  • haha ok. utah isnt that far away from me. my cousins live in riverside, and i go and race in la and another city 2 hours west of la that started with a V, but i forgot the name. but uh i will have to come by utah next time im in cali. wats your fb? ill add you?

  • Sequential gearboxes have such an addictive sound on how quickly they shift when rowing thru the gears, especially on the 2-3-4 shift. Gear whine coupled with the engine scream is just heaven. Drives me nuts every time I hear it.

  • agree completely

  • Utah!

  • wow that LMP car just fly by right when you were at near top speed......quite amazing! This track is great! I want to race there this year......
