  • It was reported at the time in the music press that Tony Palmer was guided by Clapton how to film the concert. It seemed like Clapton didn't want the film to give away anything about his guitar technique. Whatever, the strange camera work and editing was almost universally disliked, but it was the last remnant of Cream by the time the film aired on the BBC in January 1969. Also reported in the music press that the concerts were broadcast live to europe. Hopefully without the shambolic editing.

  • Great clip, but does anyone know where the video is of Clapton playing the last few seconds of his solo in Sunshine of Your Love where you could see him fretting the notes?.At the end of the number, Clapton took his guitar (335) off and held it over his head briefly. Lucky as we are to have any footage from the concert, it's amazing what a terrible job was made of recording and editing this broadcast by the BBC. Is there really no straight video of the concert nor any decent sound recording?

  • Great clip, but there is some additional unseen Cream farewell footage that was shown on the BBC. There was some video of Clapton, taken from a different camera angle, somewhere to his left, where he is playing the last 5-10 seconds of his solo in Sunshine of Your Love. cont

  • lol at the headbanging legend! If I was Eric, Jack, Or Ginger I wouln't be able to concerntrate with him! I would be laughing too much

  • I was born in 95. I discovered Cream about 30 years after their farewell concert so when I first listened to them it felt completely new. This is proof that their music will never die!

  • @Django5198 me too lad!

  • This is too emotional... Thankfully there's the headbanging guy, and it's also funny somehow... Jack Bruce was awesome.

  • somehow touching, eric looks so relieved when he waves goodbye...
