@DrMontague What I find amazing is that you can't accept another's persons beliefs just because they differ from yours, I'm well aware of what you just said, my point is that science and Christianity cross paths in many areas, it doesn't matter how many 'higher degrees' you have, failure to notice the obvious is still relevant, I am very knowledgable in Geology as you mention Volcanos and I can give you many accounts that relate to a 2000 year old book called the bible.

My Dad works with Pawson to try and spread his teaching across the world so that everyone may receive it for free. David has studied the Bible for a great majority of his life and it truly shows. Thank you God that this man may spread your word.

Natural disasters simply show that the gods don't exist. If your an atheist you don't need to justify natural disasters because they are exactly what they are NATURAL.

No matter what you believe EVERYTHING is caused by something else before it. So you may be an athiest but to believe that Natural disasters happen because they are just Natural is not only ignorant to the teachings of religion but also ignorant to the teachings of science, although then again a lot of teaching from both parties interlock anyway God Bless you

@oODal What I find amazing is that ignorant people like you call educated people ignorant. I could make a list of my higher education degrees but this is something I do not like doing. What you are on about is called (in science) 'cause and effect'. In science when we talk of natural explanations this means there is no supernatural agencies at work e.g. we do not claim there is an angry god inside an active volcano. We see volcanic activity as the result of high pressures etc.

@M0rigane If what he is saying is the same message as in his book "Why Does God Allow Natural Disasters?" then I expect he will simply say that "everyone deserves a violent and premature death" because of the fall and original sin. In other words, he has no answers at all to the problem of suffering, just the typical 'route one' evangelical response that everyone deserves hell (because of someone else's sin) therefore what's the problem with them suffering here on earth? Appalling teaching.

Sin = thinking you can live without God, Hell= the reality of living without God. You may think you live without God now but that's because you don't see the blessings that we have all been given. @seph00007 Am I saying that I am sinless? Absolutely not. But we should understand what the Bible says about 'sin'. There are different levels of accountability - e.g., Lk 12:47-48; 1 Jn 5:16-17; Jas 1:15 (think about it!); Matt 10:15; Jn 9:41 and many more. God condemns people, not because of an inherited sin nature, but due to a wilful rejection of His love FIRST shown to each of them - see Isaiah 5:3-4. Therefore no one 'deserves' a violent death simply because of the effect of the fall.
