when this was announced Apple closed at 207.88 that day. I am not tech savvy what so ever but I had a feeling this would excite people and I invested 10g's about 20 grand. Well one year later I am 14K ahead and I want to say thank you MR. Jobs for helping me get ahead. I wish you good health as well and if you don't come back I will continue to invest in your company. I do think Google will grab market share in the next few years but Apple will always be in my portfolio.

Netbooks suck. They were created for phone companies and were meant for mobile web through a phone data plan. that's not what I want in mobility.

An Averge 250 dollar netbook is faster then a IPad.

I tested them both on my wifi and the netbook was like nearly 5x faster then my Ipad and its 3x less then an IPad,

it also does more then the Ipad

Now if he added some decent components to that, like a good processor, a decent graphis card, some USB ports and then gave it a useful keyboard or at least a calibratable one and then some open source firmware like Linux or even a stripped down version of Windows it might not suck...

he didnt add adobe flash because on a laptop, computer, or even mac, adobe can make it slower. with what you use adobe for, the program online can make everything slow. thats why he didnt add adobe to iphone or ipad. i know. i have an ipad and im pissed it doesnt have adobe. but if you notice adobe makes your internet slow for what ever you use adobe for. but. if you download a quicktime app for ipad. you can watch a video online, and if it is quicktime format, you can watch it

Except that netbooks have 160 gb hard drives, USB, and are about half the price of this thing.

Install Ubuntu on a dell mini and voila you have something better than this (though cheaper and less pretty which are things this guy seems to dislike).

I disagree about net books, I can work productively on mine and develop software. Admittedly I could do this with a macbook, but the net book I have is 1/4 of the price, and perfectly acceptable for working while travelling.
