It depends, if you updated to 2.2.1, you cannot unlock it again. Use Quickpwn to jailbreak and activate it and check your baseband. if it is 2.28.00 you can still use yellowsn0w, if not your out of luck for now

Ok, the dev team hasnt released any info regarding the downgrade or unlock yet but the way to use 2.2.1 is by restoring to firmware 2.2 then quickpwning it and use the pwnage tool to go to 2.2.1 but if your on 2.2 and dont want to go to 2.2.1 use quickpwn and unlock. if you restored to 2.2.1 without pwnage too, your baseband was updated and you are locked out of the unlock for now.

well if your modem firmware is over 2.28.00, your out of luck for now

nope there is no downgrade to 2.28.00 as far as i know. Do not attempt to downgrade. If you find a method send me a link and if you can't, id suggest buy a rebel sim
