americans are just fat assholes that behave like children, they cry, piss and moan when they don't get their own way or when no one helps them... E.G THE FUCKING WAR IN AFGHANISTAN...
and whos line is it ayway is good, i prefer mock the week but idont see why ur all going apeshit on this guy who likes something different from every1 else, if u were the only person who didnt like whose line is it anyway then ud h8 me and crav verbally beating the shit out of you
Um... Sheffking, whilst i totally agree with you... Who's Line Is It Anyway was originally British and then was taken to America by Dan Patterson, and of the two editions, the American one is wayy funnier than the British one. (FRANKIE BOYLE RULES)
I like how Dara was saying that they can not go into anything like people dying or young people being shot. It shows that even though the do go over the limits sometimes *coughs-Frankie - coughs* ;), they do respect the seriousnes of things, its very nice and ecnt
Might I add to this whole "rip off" thing you are talking about and say that they were both created by the same man, Dan Patterson so therefore it cannot really be a rip off. Both programs are about off-the-wall improvised humour (even though this is partially scripted) so therefore they are also going to be similar in that respect.
i never said anything about a rip off, of whose line, i know its made by the same guy, but it is scripted the only rounds that arent scripted are probably the one where the choose a subject and its like a statistic or somethin
Okay, geez.. First of all I do watch the show. and I love it. I never miss it, I think it's great.
What I meant was, for rounds such as the stand up round, news generator etc etc, its not 'improvisation'. Its pre-agreed who is doing what subjects etc and the guys know in advance what the topics are so they can prepare there bit...
The banter amongst them during rounds is obviously not like this, but its not 'improv' as such...just making jokes they think of depending on the topic...
This video raises some interesting points on the show; entirely forgot how reliant it is on mild mannered news stories. There's plenty of events but like Dara said, you can't laugh at plane crashes and the like. Hang in there Mock the Week, Ill send an elephant to present stand up to the world. That'll keep you going.
Anyone else getting the huge amount of sarcasm when he's chatting about the natural disasters?

mock the week is just a topical rip off of Whose Line, which btw, is much funnier, i mean the US one, the UK one is shit.
CRAV3NA7OR 2 years ago
thee uk one is much funnier i could throw a banana on some1s head and theyd laugh in the USA
thetruefreak678 2 years ago 9
I'd say it was the other way around. The US one is massively unfunny and annoying.

The guy with the glasses, Dan Patterson, is the man that produced the TV series Who's Line Is It Anyway in both the US and the UK.

Well that was 2mins 38secs I won't get back. It told me absolutely nothing about the program.

What else would you want to know about the show then?

We didn't find out whether Dara O'Brien prefers tea or coffee. I think that's quite important.
