I think I'll probably make a zippered pouch with some pockets and a needle book like you showed. I don't need to separate my fabrics out like you were for your hexes, so that will make it easier. I'm dying to see your progress!
I just started to paper piece something other than hexagons, and can't seem to get the fabric folded correctly for whip stitching around any acute angles. You are letting the folding be a non-issue. Where did you learn to fold fabric for diamonds onto the paper? Or would you be willing to make a video explaining this technique?
