I thought that the Cage was only able to lock Lucifer in and only him or is it able to lock all archangels in there. Also how is it that he even has powers when he is cut from heaven, when all other angels who get cut off lose their powers like Castiel?
@DarthRevan7100 Well since the cage was able to lock in Michael, Lucifer and Sam, I'd say it can lock in anyone and anything. As far as Lucifers powers, considering he turned on God, and everyone in Heaven, I'd say that he hasn't been getting power from there for a long long time. His power source are the souls from hell.

@vampire7210 I know, but we have to understand him: he feels regret for everything he has done -betraying Dean, choosing Ruby over him, freeing Lucifer, drinking demon blood and causing the death of a lot of people. He wants redemptation and thinks he deserves Hell, poor thing :(
@newgirl2349 Sam went to Hell to lock Lucifer back up. Lucifer possessed Sam but Sam managed to overpower him and opened the door to Hell and jumped into the Fire taking Michael with him. Before that though, Dean was trying to reach Sam while Lucifer was still in control and in my belief, Lucifer knew it was working and began to physically assault Dean so Sam wouldn't regain control. That ultimately failed. But as we see in Season 7, Sam got out of Hell, but at a serious mental price.
It's too bad this is where Supernatural peaked. They've gone back to that S1 freak of the week episodes, instead of these type of legendary mythology episodes.
I honestly think that the season 5 Finale was pretty much the ending of the show. Don't get me wrong, I loved season 6 and now season 7, but the ending of season 5 just felt...like it all had finally ended. Dean had a new start, living his 'apple pie life' and Sam finally went to hell where he belonged.
Not to mention Chuck's narration felt like he was finalising the ending :/ Which by the way, mixed in with the music almost had me in tears D:
Adam is probably the unluckiest guy in the whole series - always dragged into the fray just because he happens to be related to Winchesters, and then successfully forgotten. No one even thought about maybe trying to get him out of hell...
@YukiAmeka Actually in one episode in season 6 Dean asks Death to get Sam soul out of hell and to get Adam out also, but Death said he will only get one of them out, so Dean chose Sam soul.

I don't like a few epis. in S1, and that discouraged from watching it in the begining, but then it gets epic! And you can find real treasures during the seasons, both dramatic and hilarious. Great acting, good music, creepy moments, intriguing general storyline! I shut up now XD

@Da1337Man Adam is still possessed by Michael and locked in Lucifer's cage in hell. When Adam gets out he will be pissed at Sam and Dean. But Michael will be as well. Lucifer meanwhile is still locked in the cage but with no body since Sam and his soul are back on earth.
Nothing ever seems to go right for the poor Winchesters. This was such a sad scene. Supernatural one of the best shows in television right now. It's too bad it's so underrated and on such a garbage network that doesn't realize what it has.

@KunkoFilms2 because if Michael never went to hell him and Raphael are still 2 powerful angels and nobody can stop them and if you listen to the 6th seris cas said if Raphael wins the civil war he would unlock the Apocalypse again so they can do it rite so if Micheal wasn't in hell with Lucifer cas would never have stoped Micheal and Raphael and dean and sam will have to fight through the Apocalypse again
This episode would have been a totally awesome ending, but I can't say I'm sad they continued.. I love the show too much, it's one of the highlights of my extremely stressful weeks :P Though, I kind of ruined this episode for myself, since I already knew that they were all signed for a sixth season, so Lucifer's killing them all wasn't quite as dramatic as it would have been, had I thought that it was the final episode... I'll never check if there's a next season before the final episode again!

I know that Sam/lucifer appears at the end of the episode/season but the scene when sam falls into the pit and the look he gives dean; it's... it's just gut - wrenching... "It's ok Dean... It's gonna be ok. I got him"... **Gives Dean a nod - he's ok with dying. Closes his eyes. Spreads his arms. And falls back into the pit** and the look on Deans face is just so sad. most dramatic and sad ending ever
nope, season 6 is confirmed. And depending on the ratings there might be a season 7. I don't see how this is either a sad ending or a good ending for the show. They left it on a cliffhanger with many unanswered questions. It was however a very good season finale.

I've seen the 3-4-5 seasons on the internet, so, i've not been completely into the show.
But; I like the idea of the show not ending all "Wuuhuu, everyone got married, and end up living their lifes as kings!" and crap... I like'd the idea of Sam being in hell, and kinda be protecting Dean from above.. I like bittersweet endings more then just princess-endings.
@onlycasual1 If they left out the last 4 seconds of video, they would have left it a good ending with no cliffhanger. :) I'm perfectly happy with them ending it here. I'm slightly dissapointed with season 6. The highlight has been Castiel and his pornos. lol

Not much is worse then a show being awesome, and then in the end the fans is thinking "What the fuck... The first seasons was the best, now it's just lame!" - like with One Tree Hill. I think Supernatural have done a great job, and wish they will end the show like this again.. (-: Sad endings are sometimes the best ones.

@Yrgen2 I totally agree. A show as strong as this should not leave you with a feeling of that something is missing. But with a sad, heavy feeling, but still a smile. The show should end with (what i first thought happened...), that Sam should be Dean's guardian or something - and Dean got a family and stuff... That would make me smile. Sam dies, but not really. Dean get the life he always deserved.

@kadrock dude, in earth-time dean was in hell for 4 months = 40 years in hell. sam was in LUCIFERS CAGE with 2 seriously pissed off archangels with nothing better to do then play ping pong with sams soul, 1 year earth time = about 120 years hell time.

@Da1337Man well, i can't argue that lol. here is the question tho, it was stated that lucifer's cage isn neither in heaven, hell, or earth, but some kind of weird dimension, hence azazel having to communicate with him by other means. so the question remains, does the same time lapse apply to the cage as it did hell. if it does, then yes, sam wins lol......or loses depends on the point of view

dean told death that adam is still in hell. michael however said tho that "adam isnt home right now". so does that mean hell is finally winchesterless again? would kinda enlighten me to know that adam isnt stuck in the worst part of hell with the 2 most powerful angels in exsistence...

@Da1337Man Adam is still possessed by Michael and locked in Lucifer's cage in hell. When Adam gets out he will be pissed at Sam and Dean. But Michael will be as well. Lucifer meanwhile is still locked in the cage but with no body since Sam and his soul are back on earth.

Nothing ever seems to go right for the poor Winchesters. This was such a sad scene. Supernatural one of the best shows in television right now. It's too bad it's so underrated and on such a garbage network that doesn't realize what it has.

This episode would have been a totally awesome ending, but I can't say I'm sad they continued.. I love the show too much, it's one of the highlights of my extremely stressful weeks :P Though, I kind of ruined this episode for myself, since I already knew that they were all signed for a sixth season, so Lucifer's killing them all wasn't quite as dramatic as it would have been, had I thought that it was the final episode... I'll never check if there's a next season before the final episode again!

I know that Sam/lucifer appears at the end of the episode/season but the scene when sam falls into the pit and the look he gives dean; it's... it's just gut - wrenching... "It's ok Dean... It's gonna be ok. I got him"... **Gives Dean a nod - he's ok with dying. Closes his eyes. Spreads his arms. And falls back into the pit** and the look on Deans face is just so sad. most dramatic and sad ending ever

nope, season 6 is confirmed. And depending on the ratings there might be a season 7. I don't see how this is either a sad ending or a good ending for the show. They left it on a cliffhanger with many unanswered questions. It was however a very good season finale.

I've seen the 3-4-5 seasons on the internet, so, i've not been completely into the show.
But; I like the idea of the show not ending all "Wuuhuu, everyone got married, and end up living their lifes as kings!" and crap... I like'd the idea of Sam being in hell, and kinda be protecting Dean from above.. I like bittersweet endings more then just princess-endings.

A cliffhanging, but still not cliffhaning ending is a perfect ending.
Don't ruin the history of this show with a crappy last season..

@Yrgen2 We all wan't out favorit shows to keep on going forever! (-: But, sometimes, i wan't shows to end while still on top. Like "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" did. Not much is worse then a show being awesome, and then in the end the fans is thinking "What the fuck... The first seasons was the best, now it's just lame!" - like with One Tree Hill. I think Supernatural have done a great job, and wish they will end the show like this again.. (-: Sad endings are sometimes the best ones.

@Yrgen2 I totally agree. A show as strong as this should not leave you with a feeling of that something is missing. But with a sad, heavy feeling, but still a smile. The show should end with (what i first thought happened...), that Sam should be Dean's guardian or something - and Dean got a family and stuff... That would make me smile. Sam dies, but not really. Dean get the life he always deserved.
