I think Reba actually deserved the Tony for this revival. I'm not saying Ms. peters was bad, but c'mon now...........we're talking an actual redheaded Oklahoma bred sharpshooter with a twang in her voice! Reba didn't have to fake NOTHING!!!!! Even New York critics couldn't find anything wrong with her. They have labeled her the best Annie to fill that roll. Truly believe Reba deserved that Tony.

Tom Wopat is well cast. Miss Peters was good in Mack and Mabel.. Why does she insist on playing Ethel Merman roles. It would be like Merman playing Anna in the King and I just because she liked the show..Bernadette should stick to artsy roles that she does best. Someone should advise her that this was not a part for her.. In my opinion I find her timing completely off.. A Tony? We all loved Judy but for the screen Hutton was made to play the role. It supposed to be a hunk and a tom boy Get it?

why does Miss Peters insist on playing Ethel Merman roles. It's not as good as some of the High school productions I've seen on You Tube. Reba McEntire played Nellie in South Pacific as well as Mary Martin but Bernadette can't Play Mama Rose like Merman. She should stick to those artsy roles she does . I must say she was good in Mack and Mabel. That was a long time ago, Annie Oakley is not her role and someone should have told her so... A Tony??? Like Florence Foster Jenkins!Spare me.

Both Annie & Reba.........both can shoot guns (very well), both are from Oklahoma, and grew up in a man's world, both red-head's. Reba actually doesn't have to fake her Oklahoma accent. Ms. Peters is too refined to be Annie Oakley. Annie Oakley was not a refined person.
