I dunno if the guy in the blue will get this message but ive been training in muay thai for 5 months and i love it ive had private lessons all the way and sparred constantly but not yet plucked up the courage to have a proper thai fight (NOT MMA) but the amount of courage he displayed in this fight was outstanding he caught round kick to the ribs at such a speed thats a skill to me keep it up man you inspired me :) one day you will be a champ !
i know when matthews head hunting he almost took him out.. the other guy would stick his head straight up at times asking for and overhand.. but for his first he did great, hell i tought matthews got some great shots it and some nice takedowns..
Haven`t you in Rawai Muay Thai heard about one very funny yet highly effective punch called an overhand right or left.Or people think, that when they compete in a muay thai fight they must emphasize mostly on kicking?
The Thais believe that kicking and kneeing score better than punching so they emphasize the legs. Punching is not scored high and unless you can knock out your opponent, usually the boxer who kicks the most wins, usually.
I agree, I was fighting alot in Thailand 10 years ago, I have the golden gloves belt for 4 years in Balkan and when I came to Thailand , I learned quick to block there leg strikes to upper leg, and to avoid elbows, I fought 19 fights in Thailand and I won 17 of them, 14 on Knockout, 11 was in the 1 round when they just looking around. Thai boxers problem is like the fighter in red pants his chin is up= Bulls Eye, straight Right and he will wake up when the stadium is empty.
