It always baffles me when people assume that all fursuiters and furries are all the same. I know furs who've done tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, both fursuiter and non. I've known furs who're cops and I knew one fur who worked for the Butte County Sherrif's department as an evidence technician. Great jobs on the suits guys, they look awesome and I wish I could have been there :)

Usually that is the case, but It's more of a guideline than an actual rule.

Because animals can't verbally communicate on a human level. When you don't talk in suit you enhance the illusion of being the animal that your dressed as. Also when you talk in suit it makes that illusion less powerful and it makes people think more of the fact that there is a person in an animal suit then a human-like animal walking around. But talking or not talking in fursuit is completely up to the individual. We don't worry about that much because there isn't any no-talking-in-suit police.

@Wolfgirl2help The best thing you can do is make it either with the help of springs or elastic, giving the elastic enough room to be replaced when it wears out. The rest is just based on hinging it in some way. Or, if you do the Balaclava method, the way that it conforms to your head allows for enough to allow the foam to move with your mouth. The difference between a full foam and a balaclava head is the size, as usually full foam can get large, and balaclava ends with a pretty small result.
