The Quran expressly prohibits a man from approaching his wife during her monthly cycle:---YET, Muhammad wasn’t able to control his sexual desires. 'Aisha:The Prophet and I used to take a bath from a single pot while we were Junub. During the menses, he used to order me to put on an Izar (dress worn below the waist) and used to fondle me. while I used to be in my periods (menses). (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 6, Number 298)
@Hovers82 Because blood is najis and the Qur'an is our holy book. It is disrespectful to touch an Arabic Qur'an when we're in a state of impurity. It is prohibited for one in the state of ( minor or major ) ritual impurity to touch the Glorious Book of the Quran unless with something that prevents direct contact , for Allah, Exalted be He, says:
" None touch it except the purified..." ( Surah Al-Waqi'ah (56): 79 )
During menstruation, you can't make wudu (which you need in order to touch it).
@FarahxKhan One must understand the whole context of that particular Surah, Surah Al-Waqi'ah. Please do read what comes before that ayat and comes after it. May Allah open your heart to accepting the truth. Do research on the meaning of al-muṭaharūn, is that verse "La yamassuhu illā muṭaharūn".
It is important to take reference from the original text which is the arabic form. Not the English translated which may cause misguidance.
@Hovers82 I am speaking of what i have been taught and the knowledge ive gained from other Muslims. I am not as wise or knowledged as them yet. Also, I can read arabic, but i need translations in order to understand, Im sorry i did not refer to the Arabic text.
