I was wracking my brain for quite a while trying to figure this out. I love that I can go to youtube and trust that someone will have figured it out for me. Usually.
My favorite part is 5:30, when Mark Guiliana starts going nuts and you can hear a couple stick clicks in there on accident.
well nakanevis, not quite, i mean, he add to his music some vocals, thats all, i see it more like he is experimenting a little bit, because if you pay attention to his music today has not change much, its just that he added a new element to the ecuation, not with great success i guess, but doesnt mean that he's trying to make success, you know that part of the beauty of jazz is that you are free to do what you please, since it's not a commercial music, i believe he is doing just that.
Hi. Sooryy, but I can't agree that his 'voice project' not "with great success". The very first time i heard them they make really deep impression on me, and that was 'voice project'. Maybe what's matter that was live, because official videos somewhat plain. they're reeeallyy great and talented.
@nakanevis his new stuff isn't as jazzy, but it's much more personal. i love them both, for different reasons. not everyone can appreciate "el hatzipor", because not everyone can even understand the poetry of Bialik, let alone identify with it
@schindler91589 Well, there's planty of music out there for which I don't understand the poetry but still love the music... so.... in respect to the music it doesn't please me. When I went to his concert I had to force myself to apreciate it and not to leave
ok I can hear the six - but not the fives. What do you mean starting on the "e" of 2?? Do you the second sixteenth of the second beat? That doesn´t make much sense
prog jazz?

what a fucking pretentious title for a song
TehWinnerz 9 months ago
@TehWinnerz Who cares for the name of the song in a musical avalanche like this? And there's nothing pretentious about it, except for your comment.
montalvomachado 7 months ago in playlist Avishai Cohen
@montalvomachado that makes tonnes of sense. Thanks.
TehWinnerz 7 months ago
@TehWinnerz It's not pretense if there's substance to back it up.

It's a lot more complicated than that!
KryptonUK 3 years ago 2
It's just 6/4, but then breaks up into 5/16+5/16+5/16+5/16+4/16 starting on the "e" of 2. Rhythm is amazing.
