This is an all time classic! One game after 10 years that I can just keep picking up and playing, if only to find that treasure fleet and get my galleon! The art to playing is saving often as you can as I run XP and yes crashes but hey the game play far outweighs the hassle of reloading after couple of hours.
This is a must for any company to remake or just a copy of the DS would be nice as well :D

@fxjaw Well the company is gone so anyone selling it is full of hot air and want to profit off of free whear so What you can do in pirate it off the piratebay but you need to learn how to work torrents and learn to use some complicated programs i coudl walk you through step by step if need be.
@terminator847 This problem happens with a lot of older games. Try running it under XP compatability Right Click Icon>Compatability>Click the Run in compatability mode button>Scroll to Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
@terminator847 If this is an old game (which i bet it is) and u play on a new age computer (which i guess u are) then ur computer probably doesnt wanna run the game cuz its old. Look if there is a DOSBox or sth that tricks the game/Cpu to think it can run it
@terminator847 when you play the game press alt+crtl+del select the game in task mangr press right click select below transition in progress then right click again the exe and select set associations you must choose only 1 core of the cpu not 2 of them
but the game is very dull, you get bored afther a few hours, bad grafix, musketmen still use the sword instead of the musket, and from what i recall the scales are preaty crapy, when you invade a town the ship is miniscule compared to the men. Plus, from what i remember it misses blood. and the ship is preaty hard to handle, it is hard to get it to fire from a distance and lets not forget, the turning ability of the ships is straight on the spot, you can nearly turn it on the point,not realistic
Indeed, It's far more stable on Win98. Lucky for me i had it installed in an old Laptop with XP crashing very rarely, but in any other pcs it's frustrating. Unplayable on vista.

@terminator847 go to the control panel look for adjust screen resolution and move the bar all the way down to low. it will work a lot better

You can use virtual machine and play it in xp with 98 runing on the virtual pc.
