i am pretty sure you must have some vocoder effects, because the vocoder works by transforming your voice based on what notes you play on the keybaord. you could probably get it close to "normal" with lots of time spent modding.

all that said, i would reccomend buying a phantom powered condenser mic (for high quality, but you need a phantom power unit) or a USB powered condenser mic (such as Samson CO1U). much cleaner sound and much easier to use! hope this helps...

yes you can use it as a midi controller for FL/Reason! you cannot use the r3 synths in reason as far as i know though... it just transforms the r3 into a midi controller.

Its neither. Its a stand alone rack mount. Youd need a separate synth and mic to use as the carrier and modulator. I reckon u could pick one up for around 120 doller, worth it!

yeah i guess your right, just wasnt too impressed with this one when i used it record. There are a few good ones:- The Roland VP-330 sounds awesome! Very expensive if you find one though. And the Electrix Warp Factory is quite cheap and an awesome vocoder with many options and superb clarity. Like the R3 on the beatbox though sounded cool.

Microkorg = little brother of MS2000. R2 = little brother of Radias. R3 has regular-sized keys. R3 has 16 band vocoder, Microkorg, 8 band.

Microkorg is nice, but this is much, much nicer.
