i think dale chihuly is the most over rated glass blower. i think the art is somewhat thoughtless, and his style is obvious. also it must be awesome to have a bunch of hungry artists around to use, i wonder how much of that glass he even touched.
Isn't this piece called "The End of the Day"? From what I understand, there was no specific planned project for the piece. It's made of "spare parts". What a wonderful chandelier!
It was featured in a greenhouse at Fairchild Tropical Gardens in Coral Gables, Florida where rays of sunlight lovingly bathed it, treating the eye to a kaleidescope of colours!
