What a nice video,you know I love it and you sing this song most excellent, I don't think one should compare you with Klaus Nomi at all, he made this song famous and he was genius and so differnt at that time, I think you are a different singer in a newer world . For what you are, I think you are one of the greatest.

Who can compare one great singer with another great singer? This is a consummate interpretation, and I love the OCD slant to it. Klaus did it well, and so does Matteo, although I still prefer to hear a basso profundo belt it out

@salvatore0222 Well said! My thoughts exactly! It's counter-productive comparing one great version with another.  Purcell himself was a counter-tenor, and even though this music was written for a bass voice, it works well in other registers as well.

Mais c'est Purcell l'avait écrit pour un baryton-basse. Je l'ai entendu en concert live ... et ca donne plus de profondeur à ce génie que l'on réveille de le torpeur.
