To sum the drumline issue up, it was hot as hell and plus on top of that there wasnt enough room for the whole section to stand up. Being that the cymbals do the most movement, we chose to let them stand. Coming from a Bongo that marched for the past 3 years. When u r n the section, then feel free to comment on the drumline, until then save it cause we dont need it.

@n2deep56 Who R U 2 say which band deserves 2 play which song? I've heard JSU's version & it's most definately not note 4 note like the original. As someone said on JSU's clip, when U listened 2 SCSU 's & JSU's & then listen 2 the original song (instrumental), SCSU's is closer 2 the original instrumental version of the song. While JSU is my favorite SWAC Band, they don't play everything with great articulation though they do make sure everything they play is loud. Loud does not always = good.

@cedfri No, but I would say that JSU's could be a remix because it certainly isn't arranged "EXACTLY" how the original song sounds. It's time that some of you folks get the memo that no two bands will play a song exactly the same. Each band will have it's own arrangement. JSU has theirs. SCSU has theirs. And other bands will have theirs. True bandheads understand this concept.

I am not, nor have I ever been a member of this band/institution, so I'm not biased. They clearly need to work on that flash sequence, but it was their first game on a pop tune... which means they recently made that up. Does YOUR cymbal section display FLAWLESS technique at the FIRST GAME? If so, post it. If not, then keep it moving. That hating stuff is for the birds.
