  • soo awsome!!! thx.. :)

  • @nobodytotown You are welcome. Thank you.

  • you're so good....thanks.

  • @gulliveronline1 You are welcome. Thank you.

  • I am trying to learn it. Thanks!

It's so different from the original versions?!

  • Eb and D# are the same note but I guess that depending on which key you are playing you would prefer one name over the other. Say I am playing on a Bb key I would call it a Eb!

  • @betzaleldaniel Thanks. I agree.

  • its awesome how somthing so easy sounds so hard (:

  • @misshatchfireflys Thanks. It is surprising how quickly we can learn whatever type music we might want to play. If you want to watch a really complex piano song being done very well I recommend Liberace playing Bumble Boogie or Boogie Woogie. Both are at YouTube. Thanks again.

  • Great! I just bought a new synth, Roland Juno-G, maybe i will try this!

  • Great. You will have fun with the keyboard. Thanks.

  • @Featureman Yeah, it's very fun. you got an amazing voice by the way!

  • @Featureman Yes, it is very fun to play on it, amazing voice you got by the way!

  • @Hanneviik I have the same synth! You'll love it when you figure it out!

  • @OfficialVintageGirl I love it allready hehe :)

  • Is it just me or does everyone else hear "momma's lil baby loves short'nin short'nin momma's lil baby loves short'nin bread"?

  • ilove ur singing voice. It is awesome!

  • Thank you.

  • Very good ^.^ I was playign paino for 2 years but my teacher moved away, and i always wanted to learn this song, My grampy use to allways play it and sing it to me on the piano but he never tought me it hes like i will once your ready so im practicing this song now to prove him wrong,

  • Great. Have fun with it. There have been many great performances of this song. I enjoyed Eddie Jackson of Clayton Jackson and Durante and Bobby Darin's version but there are many that are fun to hear. You will learn it quickly I am sure and the chords can then be used for other songs too.

  • Kinda makes me wana learn the piano or a keyboard at least.

  • Thanks. It will be easier than you might think at first. It just takes a little time and some practice.

  • Ha! Now you've said that, I think I'll borrow a keyboard from my friend. :)

  • Grea t stuff, inspirational, fun, tuition.

  • Thanks.

  • Hey Featureman, thank you for your tutorials!

I started playing keyboard a week ago, and you helped me very much!

I like your tutorials, because you show how to play rock'n'roll and not these standart classic songs from songbooks.

I hope there will follow much more parts,

you do a great job =)

  • Thanks. I do enjoy playing chords as I sing because once you get to the point where you can change quickly, you can play any song. It takes awhile to get to where you can hear the chord changes, but you will get to be able to do that very soon. You will then be able to play whatever you sing with the accompanying chords.

  • oh really? ... that would be so great! because sometimes I just think ... oh my god, how can one change so fast chords! But I will train it, day for day, and when it's done, I will make a video, while playing a Jerry Lee Lewis song =) ... .... hopefully xD

  • Yeah, most people ignore it as it isn't 'rock n roll' enough. Mostly you just get guitarist wannabees.

    The piano, however, shows sophistication.

And a pianists revival sounds good, yeah...

  • Yeah man! The piano rocks! And the keyboard has an unlimited possibilty for different sounds!

But it annoys me that people see a piano as uncool and stick to guitars. Pianos are usually overlooked, am I right?

  • Quite often the piano is thought of as furniture. I watch some of the old 1930s monster movies where they have a mansion with a piano that is never played. We need a Jerry Lee Lewis and Fats Domino and Little Richard revival with the excitement to get people to grasp the fun a piano or keyboard can provide. Thanks.

  • It doesn't matter if it's E flat or D sharp it means the same thing. It depends on what songs you're playing on reading music that will have sharps or flats beside the treble clef. If it has sharps it's going to be bringing the notes up or if it's flat that means it's going to be going down the notes. But it's just another way of saying it.

  • Thanks. I have the greatest admiration for the inventors of what we now call the piano. It must have started as a harp then someone added a fingerboard but had to figure out how to make it logical. They did a brilliant job of figuring it all out.

  • Yeah I've only started piano lessons early this year doing grand but the guitar is my main thing really but all my family are crap at music so somebody has to play the piano and the only person who has the blood of music is me. I enjoy playing piano I'm interested in playing boogie woogie rockabilly stuff on it.

  • do you have a number 9 tutorial?

  • My new tutorials now go only to number 8. I used to have about 50 and I am slowly rebuilding. I used copyright songs which I removed. It is legal to use copyright songs for instructional vids but YouTube has a policy of no copyright material for any reason for partners. I am now a partner so I follow those guidelines. Soon I will have a number 9 tutorial. Thanks.

  • I really like your tutorials. Really I enjoy learning from this tutorials. Thanks! keep posting man.

  • Thank you. Most people can learn to play with chords on piano. I will keep posting tutorials.

  • Cool stuff. Love that tune. It's a classic.

  • I remember hearing it done a lot in Las Vegas lounge shows when I lived there. It is a tune for guys or girls to sing and strut their stuff with.

  • Las Vegas, huh?

What kind of gambling did you prefer?

  • My gambling was usually with the free two for one coupons that I received with my buffet purchases. If I won or lost I quit. I also would cash my checks at places that had paycheck drawings. Twice I won those and many times I won smaller prizes like $25 or meals. I was cheap. Most Las Vegans don;t really gamble.

  • I KNEW you were too smart to fall into that trap.. Gambling truely is for losers..

    WE like a sure thing.

  • this is so nice :D:D:D.. is this the same chords u used on "i am the one"? :D:D:D:D.. great job. i've always wanted to learn this

  • Wait. correction. thats "am i the one" LoL

  • Hi. No Am I the one was done in the key of G with the G, C, D, A and E chords. About the same rhythm though. Thanks.

  • Excellent tutorial. :)))

    You actually make sense!

  • Thanks. It is actually reasonably easy to learn chords on a piano. It takes awhile for the fingers to get used to the rhythms and smooth it all out, but most people can learn enough to play with a group.

  • You're so talented, Tom, and it's so great that you share your talent with others too. Your videos are a treat to watch, my friend.

  • Thanks, Matthew. This is my first video upload where I exceeded the 100MB file size. We now are allowed 1GB. This one was exactly 10 minutes and I decided to use the wide screen approach to show more of the keyboard, but it took at least two hours to upload. Thanks.

  • Thanks Tom, I appreciate the video.

  • Thanks for the first comment.
