i never understood watchmen when i first read it and then i watched the movie and took me 5 times to understand that the world can never have permanent peace. Its never ending. The world cant always be good. Evil will always survive and its up to Good to not let evil take over and vice versa

A major difference between good and evil is how your association of judgment applies to any bit of perception. Am I really bad for killing millions of people with my own hands (indirectly), did I not just save billions of lives?

They are still savage in nature and one little break in the peace is all it takes for humans to destroy each other. And your peace won't last long. What Rorschach wanted is people know the truth behind their nature and by knowing this they will evolve past their savage ways effectively changing. Even if it takes a nuclear war, the surviving humans will see hatred towards each other isn't worth it.
@Pendrokar: The only chance is create a mega crossover "Onslaught style" in where the heroes search,find and defeat the origin of evil in the universe ( from low ranked criminals like The Lizard of Spiderman to the Living tribunal and "One above all", i know that they aren´t evils but know much of this)
@Pendrokar DC dose the same thing constantly locking up Joker, Penguin, Gorilla Grodd, Solomon Grundy and all the others with no end in sight. Watchmen is technically a DC comic but it's disconnected from the rest of DC's properties. I think both Marvel AND DC have realized that their villians are needed for their stories (Watchmen wasn't meant to have the long continuing mythos that Batman, Spiderman, and others have)

Marvel should have learned by now. All their stories are about imprisoning the evil criminals again and again with no end in sight.
Perhaps they knew that if they found a way in which criminals would no longer exist. Then the company would have nothing to write about!
