  • I have to listen to this for home work and i kind of enjoy it

  • I find this version extremely cocky, almost taunting. I like it!

  • why do people have to incite hatred toward each other when the music in question does not support either side? its just good music listen to it and enjoy it for what it is!

  • you did a really good job i like the way this song sounds. i have hear over and over agin for a listening test so this one is really cool to listen to!!!

  • @cookiemonsta097 Thanks for the comment! Yea this version is superb, the emphasis on the horns really adds depth to the piece

  • This type of music is the white race's unique contribution to the music world.

  • Donny MacG - I never heard of the Butcher's Apron before - a good name for the Stars and Stripes maybe. I've supported you for independence since 1948 and I hope to live to see that wonderful day.

  • beautiful but i perfer it as the trumpet duet im playing it as

  • the best composer is Bach...not Handel

  • @TheGravicembalo Oh yeah? Well Bach never got to be king did he? Did he? (apologies to Lucy van Pelt and Charles Schultz)

  • Composed for the Duke of Cumberland's Victory? at the Battle of Culloden, he gave no quarter, took no prisoners and slaughtered the wounded.

It's why the Union Flag is called the "Butchers Apron"

Handel should have sold this piece to someone more worthy.

  • @DonnyMacG more worthy? sir, i had family fall at Culloden, fighting in the name of King and Country. My family were Scots who refused to fight for the tyrannical Stuarts. What Cumberland did in the wake of Culloden was certainly brutal (and while i had some fight for the union, im also a descendent of the Gilmours, a clan that fought for the stuarts and suffered their fare share). I cant see why Handel wouldnt dedicate this song to the Butcher - they were both Germans!

  • Come to think of it, Bach was good with run on sentences, and on and on. Mozart wrote a lot of stuff and we like it. But when Handel had something to say, he could get his message across much more clearly than the other early composers.

  • This lets me know that lod Ludwig knew a little something about music to sat that Handel was the world's greatest composer. I agree, Handel was the absolute best composer. Then you got Bach, Strauss, wagner, Verdi, and then Mozart, in alist of whom I think is best. No one could touch G.F. Handel for his excellence is putting a story to music. I love that guy. There is simply not enough playing of his music on radio or television. The world needs more of him.

  • Magnificent, just wonderful

  • Delightful!
