  • and to think that all that machinery making modern music, can still be open hearted.

  • is this from the R30?

  • A 'fail' by Rush would be more than most morons achieve in their whole life

  • This is either '79 or '80, or something like that.

  • Geddy Lee standing there looking at a big ass wall of buttons, knobs, switches and loopy loops.

  • I agree with TheErik249. Any human being with a computer can comment on it as if it were a performance, and yet clearly it was not. No crowd in front of the band should have been the first clue....lol

  • I'd take a million Rush fails over one Justin Bieber win any day.

  • @logyscott Hmmm... I'm intrigued by this idea of a Bieber win. Tell more? :-)

  • This vid was shot on Fri. Aug.24, 1979 @ Ivor Wynn Stadium in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. I was there that night to see my first Rush Concert. It was awesome. Streetheart opened the show.

  • That's a big ass synth, anyone know what type/model?

  • @tommorellorules Hemispheres Tour Geddy used: Keyboards: Moog Taurus Bass Pedals (2) Effects & Electronics: Ashley Preamplifier, BGW 750 Poweramplifier, Boss Chorus & Roland Space Echo.

  • @gestet The big synth there is an Oberheim 8 Voice

  • It's on the R30 DVD.

  • How is this a FAIL. Do you understand what a"SOUNDCHECK" is?This "FAIL" phrase is way overused. People toss aside moments in other peoples lives with the simplest of terms in a flash. THINK please. Thank you.

  • @TheErik249 You mad? seriously you can see he's just joking....why so angry

  • @That70sShowRocker73 Yes.No. Because.

  • @TheErik249 I have to say....WIN

  • @TheErik249 READ the description first before commenting. Thank you.

  • How is this a fail?

  • Sweet mullet on Neil.

  • What bootleg is this from?

  • @poddish R30

  • What year was this? 1981?

  • @Andrewoid95 i think it is 1979 or 80

  • @Andrewoid95 - This is in the summer/fall of 1979, just before recording Permanent Waves, which was released Jan 1980.

  • @ruleta74835 @Andrewoid95 This vid was shot on Fri. Aug.24, 1979 @ Ivor Wynn Stadium in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. I was there that night to see my first Rush Concert. It was awesome. Streetheart opened the show.

  • It believe it was summer of 1979. Rush was the last act to perform at Ivor Wynne Stadium. It was never a decent venue for concerts.

  • @wooglin1968 Woops,nevermind. Thanks!

  • Ivor Wynne Stadium, Hamilton, Ontario Canada

  • When was this?

  • omg i have the sane strap as geddy!
