And no matter how worthy Tibetan culture is of saving, events like this are ridiculous. Note the date--1998-- didn't do a damn thing for Tibet, did it? Nothing. Nit even a blip on China's radar. This was nothing more than a bunch of rich westerners getting a chance to pat themselves on the back. Of course, the Dalai Lama has done even less. Tibetans don't need your sympathy. They need a better leader. And guns. Lots of guns.
