C'mon haters, Sheldon isn't 'Rice nor is he trying to be! He's just got big shoes to fill! If you listen to his playing, add in his songwriting, his lead and background vocals, the scat he does and while he's not George Benson, consider a few facts: EWF in the R&R Hall of Fame, Vocal Group HofF, his own grammy nomination, his work with other artists like Chicago, Pointers, Commodores. Can any of you haters say you've done all that? Listen and enjoy EWF as a whole, not just parts of same!

One of my favorite bands of all time, and this one of their best songs, (written by the incomparable Jay Graydon), but I honestly don't care for Sheldon Reynolds - just something about his attitude and texture, and his guitar playing is mediocre, at best, (I'm a guitarist). I'm not a negative person, and this isn't about someone taking 'Rice's place, I just don't think he works well for this gig. Anyway ... adore this song, and I hope Maurice's health doesn't prevent him from writing more music.

EW&F has always had the best background vocals. Just studio quality stuff. And btw, Shelden is doing a great job. I personally do NOT want him to try to be Maurice White. There is only one Maurice White (my homie!, lol). Carve out your own niche. And he has done just that. Bravo. And a great guitarist as well. Thanks for posting!!!!
