During my first playthrough of this game, I only restarted a level ONCE, only because I misread one of the actions, and it toootally did something I didn't mean to do, lol. All in all, this is one of the greatest games I've ever played. Infinately entertaining, and as groundbreaking as shadow of the colossus

depends on what you like. They are completely different games, and both are amazing. Heavy Rain isn't out yet, but it's going to be incredible. If you like RPGs get Demon Soul. If you like Investigative/Action/Drama, get this.

then the story will end in an ending that fits with what you have completed before all your characters died

the game continues to the end. That's what so different about this game. The producer said at E3, that you can literally kill off all your main characters, and that is a certain ending to the game.

they should have just put, either restart the entire game,restart at a checkpiont and a continue the story, it would have been that easier.

The idea is if you want the story to unfold a different way, you can go back and replay a chapter and change events to then play through the game, this time with events changed.
