  • I have big problems with the phone, im a total big phone/computer noob, i cant get my phone to work with my computer, i dontn know how to upload pictures from my phone .

  • you say you dont want to compare to hero, you did it like 5 times haha

  • dude im gonna order it today im so happy:D

  • haha allo duck.

    i'm from stoke too.

  • does it have wifi?

  • @L0LxYz Yes it does :)

  • @02Alan93 oke thankyou

  • Can you watch videos on websites, like using 'Adobe Flash player' and stuff???

  • @AnToN862 I think you actually can... :)

  • @02Alan93 lol k, i bought the phone anyway and i luv it!

  • @AnToN862 Yeah, that phone is AWESOME! nice choice!

  • why you in your car?

  • How is the resistive touchscreen on this? Would it be a reason not to get the HTC Tattoo?

  • I think the idea that people immediately rule out a phone because it has a resistive screen is ridiculous. Modern resistive screens may still not have multitouch, but they can feel much better than previous, feeling almost exactly like capacitive. HTC, Nokia, LG, and Samsung all have great resistive touch screen phones.

  • @punkmonkey123 and the iphone :P

  • Just ordered it

  • @jonlee29 yeah its a cool fone tbh.

  • is there youtube on the htc tattoo ink because i dont seem to have it

  • Hmm, it's either this or the BlackBerry Curve. Leaning towards the BlackBerry as I'd love the keypad.

  • Don't go for Blackberry.

This year I've had- N85, 5800, Jet and Curve.

I send roughly 2000 texts a week. So I thought that the keyboard on the Curve would be better for my uses.

After 2 weeks the keyboard was really badly failing. The keys sounded like they were cracking with every press.

My SE K850i (which I've had 3 years, since the moment it came out) has no problem with the keypad at all!

3 years later and I've reverted back to the trusty K850i.

My Tattoo should arrive early next week (y)

  • getting mine on thursday cant wait

  • @ndy400 Did u like The HTC Tattoo phone???

  • anyone got any tips how or where to unlock this phone ? i got it sim locked .. found some pages with different prices but witch one should i trust ?

  • hey do you know how to use the speech synthesis tool? i downloaded it from phone under settings>speech synthesis and installed it but i can't seem to find it or get it to work:(

  • Hey. Speech Synthesis is a library, like Radar is. You can't use it on its own -- you have to use it with a program that uses it. A good example is the Google Maps navigation feature, but I don't know if that works on that Tattoo or not.

  • I'm looking at one of these for myself, figure it's time to replace my 5 year old samsung, and this one seems to be in a nice place when it comes to price vs features.

And being able to pop the spotify client on there is a huge plus.

One thing though, I've not been able to find any info about android 2.0 on the Tattoo.

I've read that HTC are working on it for the hero, so I'm kind of assuming they will make it work on the lower resolution as well, but it'd be nice to know for sure.

  • your HTC Tattoo Overview is a good no-bs, to the point review. The demos have mor "blah" and I'm really surprised that YOU don't grasp the technical pro's and con's of resistive & capacitive touchscreens. It's kinda your job to know, so go read about it!

Besides, I think the Tattoo is a great phone and since I can't afford the hero, I'll get a Tattoo instead =)

(Just spent 400 bucks on a netbook, won't spend that same amount on a phone now).

  • At the risk of sounding like an idiot, why are all these reviews done in a car?

  • why are u making the video in your car?

  • Check out the HTC HD 2 :D you wont be dissapointed :)

  • :( I wish i could afford that^^ But my TV broke yesterday, so I ain't gonna get even a tattoo in a long while...

  • Thankyou soooo much for making this video, it was really helpful, for finding out about this phone. Im glad to see that the touchscreen insn't too hard to use.

  • I managed to find a store that had a demo unit available for messing around with, and I was REALLY impressed with the screen,

I've used some resistive screens in the past, and the tattoo was much, much better.

Even with my thick sausage fingers I had no issues tapping out messages in landscape mode.

Just gotta wait 3 days for mine to arrive now, can't wait.

  • i think its the best phone ever!

  • Hi

Nice video Thank you for that but still could you please advise me is the battery life long?

    Thank you

  • multi touch DOES work on resistive, god u need to learn facts.

  • Its possible but it is not cheap

  • No it doesnt.

Or at least no phones that I know of can with a resistive screen. Which have i missed out on? Please say.

Or, maybe, companies just havent bothered putting it on resistive. Possibly too inaccurate, which means basically it doesnt support it. Either way, it doesnt matter. They dont put multitouch on resistive.

  • 1)Difference between resistive and capacitive screens is that resistive screen uses PRESSURE to measure input. Capacitive measures static ELECTRICITY.

Now whether you get multi touch or not depends on the PROGRAMMING, not the hardware.

    2) Apple has patent on multi touch - they dont like sharing.

    3) Apple only uses capacitive

    4)

-both capacitive and multi touch tech suck when combined with small screens due to inaccuracy.

See for your self: NONE small screen use capacitive.

  • Reason why HTC hero has multi touch: they pay APPLE for it.

Reason why other brands doesn't have multi touch: They don't want to pay apple for it.

    Note:

Multi touch costs extremely little to put in a phone, but it costs like hell to pay apple for the contract.

  • I have an iPhone myself, and I have understood, that apple is a company of greedy 'stylish' people..dislike them lately, if they havent their pro apps.

(hope that I will be able to ditch my iphone soon)

  • @happyhit Actually, you can't patent multitouch, so they don't have to pay apple for it. The only thing they can patent are gestures, which apple (surprsingly) didn't really do.

  • I knew most of this apart from the bit that I obviously didn't know :P

Thanks for the info though =]

  • why do you do your reviews in a car???? beside that: nice ;-)

  • Multi touch doesn't work on resistive screen
