O.o i own all 4 cds, their first self titled one which is special edition with the songs get this, intelope and the remix of wait in bleed. overall all that was a great cd. all the songs were good. then theres iowa, all the songs up to heretic anthem were good then after that it sucked. the other two albums i listened to but dont really like but all hope is gone was much better than volume three. i know what im tlking about cuz i listen to all the songs from both bands.

man you hear about these singers who fuck up their voice but eventually recover but arnt as good as they used to be..... well trvium on the other hand got even better than they ever were! damn matt and coreys vocals are better than they were in the acendacy days! they are almost like death metal vocals! and why the fuck are they opening for slipknot? you base your argument on popularity. good then you can relate them to shitty rap and pop artist that also sell albums in just about every country.
look there are many many many bands better than slipknot . trivium is one of them. i enjoy slipknot when im in the mood to listen to noise, half decent guitars, meager vocals, and shitty lyrics.

really? i dont know much about music? i grew up listening to van halen, black sabbath, pearl jam, judus preiest, anthrax and my taste extend from metallica all the way do death and black metal bands such as dark tranquillity, at the gates, dimmu brogir, opeth, carcass, obituary.
trivium is a decent band
slipknot on the other hand sucks completly. the vocals are terrible. he cant even pull of basic exhale vocals without fuckin up his voice. the riffs are basic (continued)

the riffs arnt complex in anyway. oh and yeah their drummer is increadably fast but hes not verry technical. haver you herd his drum solos? they fail. and they have 9 guys to make a bunch of noise. and dont tell me i dont know much about slipknot. they have 4 studio albums, the first two are good and the other two suck.

ofcourse not all the riffs are complex,
the whole song is not meant to be a solo,
and it really depends on what era your looking at,
each slipknot album hols different qualities,
they have 9 guys cuz they need 9 guys,
1 dj,
3 vocalists,
2 of which also to precussion, cuz face it, its stupid just to stand around for the rest of the concert,
2 guitarists that cannot sing while playing guitar cuz theyre busy headbanging at probably the fastest speed humanly possible,

i can more or less agree with you about the vocals,
but when i went to the concert on april 29th 2009,
his voice was fine,
and if you havent noticed,
slipknot has been around for more then 15 years,
and i can name alot more singers who have sung in the same style and died out alot earlier,
its amazing that a humans vocal chords can even last that long in that style of singing,
the guitars have amazing skill,
if you ever look at some guitar lessons,
it is extremely technical,

slipknot also have amazing live preformances that top any other band,
and have had the largest crowd ever at a metal concert in europe,
and one of the largest crowds EVER at a concert in the worlds history,

lol they are very technical,
and probably alot more talented then triviums guitarists,
the reason you dont beleive me is cuz trivium plays a more thrashy faced paced metal,
where slipknot plays smooth semi slow riffs that are meant for insane headbanging, lol slipknot have actually influenced ALOT of bands,
and alot more musicians,
their goal was never to be a sell out popular band.

theyre like constantly on tour,
every second night they are somewhere else,

O.o i own all 4 cds, their first self titled one which is special edition with the songs get this, intelope and the remix of wait in bleed. overall all that was a great cd. all the songs were good. then theres iowa, all the songs up to heretic anthem were good then after that it sucked. the other two albums i listened to but dont really like but all hope is gone was much better than volume three. i know what im tlking about cuz i listen to all the songs from both bands.

slipknot is nu metal which is a pretty good genre of metal but not the best. trivium is basically thrash with screaming, thrash in general is allready much better then nu metal. and the guitars in trivium are much more techinchal. slipknot plays the same riff over and over. then theres the lyrics, triviums lyrics actually have a meaning too them. slipknots are all about rage and hate a few songs having decent lyrics. oh and anyone can bang on a trashcan.
