@wowzinger i agree with you on the older evos versus the new, but im 21 with a house payment and a shopping-happy fiance so right off the bat your talking 2200-2700 for just house, utilities and food/gas....add in personal expenses your at 3500....now you need to save at least 1500 a month so thats 5000 altogether BEFORE taxes are takin out....ergo youd have to make 8000 a month or 96k a year before taxes. If your single with no house payment making 40k+ a yr id say go for it.

It is a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES(not the evo or ralliart) it is a 2.0L 4cyl 4B11 motor now producing a little over 200hp to the front wheels (FRONT wheels)  it is a front wheel drive 5 speed manual transmission modified short shifter for faster shifting with a basic cone filter ram/col air intake and now a straight pipe exhaust with cat converter still on

One of the main problems with the Lancer is the throttle response, which can be cured. Also, the engine seems to be tailor made for boost application :(

ok in the cvt its hard bc yes you will fuck up the tranny the only way i know of in an automatic is to pull the ebrake, put the car in neutral get the revs up then slam it in drive that will smoke the tires BUT it will fuck it up big time mine is a 5 speed i just got the revs up and dumped the clutch  then i got it in second gear havent been able to do it again though second is hard for me to catch in a burnout
