  • ...Santa? Is that you?

  • I fucking love this song, not a big fan of religous bands, mostly because the ones around here(the Panhandle) have shitty attitudes towards any other views that people have. This band is just beautiful and they seem genuine, can't wait to see them live!

  • Sounds like a really heavy Emery. Which is a Emery with a ballsy sound hahah...

  • I prefer their present sound

  • @prambjorn me too :)

  • Haks11ence I agree close your eye has a Style all there own but I picked up that the drum style dose alot like there's. But this band suprised me I like them

  • o no :( Santa died. Great Video.

  • Are these lyrics the same as Switchfoot - Meant to Live? o.o

  • Nice try

  • @tipperbeanfad. Lol? Why r you raging? Yes a hope for home is a difintitive post hardcore band. But they are VERY similar to close your eyes. Calm yourself. They have very similar song structure, vocals in both.cleans and screams, theyre cord progrestions in guitar are very similar, and theyre drum styles are similar as well.

  • So much emotion, its amazing. Inspiring. There needs to be more bands like this.

  • if you liked this band. like 302 soon to be 303 people did. check out the band "close your eyes" they sound identical

  • @haks11ence Except not at all. Close Your Eyes is more hardcore-punk based. Nice try!

  • what happened to his hat?

  • Santa Claus??

  • I Feel lucky I enjoy this music. I just wish the world could enjoy it to.

  • nossa o senhor do video parece o que participou do clipe do TDWP

  • I like their newest cd, but I wish it was a lot more like this cd, I just prefer faster paced songs.

  • grandpaa!

    xD

  • The first time I heard this band, brought tears to my eyes. True passion is all I hear in this.

  • @SuperBlane141 In essentials unity. In non-essentials liberty. In all things charity.

  • @SuperBlane141 You definitely shouldn't be judging my salvation whatsoever. I have felt God/the Holy Spirit innumerable times and had the flood of His joy and presence come over me. I know what I'm talking about. Nowhere in Scripture does it say that screaming out in the name of God is wrong. In fact it says the opposite. However I would love to be given verses that back your point that MUSIC can not be loud, screaming, etc... I actually thing that joyful NOISE has nothing to do with an organ.

  • @SuperBlane141 what are you doing trying to tell christians that their christian music is sinful? just because something screams or is upbeat makes it evil? and if so where do you draw the line? demon hunter? skillet? the fray? go listen to deteriorate by demon hunter and tell me that isn't praising god. you need to open your mind and btw you aren't going to get through to anyone on here, your wasting your time

  • @SuperBlane141 We need to open and renew our minds in order to reach everyone with God's love. It is the goal of the Christian hardcore music to open new doors for God's word to be spread. They use different music in order to show God's grace and His message. Just like bad music eats ur soul, good music restores it

Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

  • Don't argue with SuperBlane141, you will not win. Just listen and enjoy the music.

  • Cant we offer up a new song? Can we offer ourselves?

  • Oh yeah seein these guys today in pamona with for today!!!!!!!

  • @himynameiz231 Dude! I bet that show was amazing! Both bands are so good live.

  • Whoahoahoahoa......where did THESE guys come from.... im jammin' out to For Today and I see these guys over on the side....grabbin' the CD soon

  • so good.

  • me love facedown..

  • Comment removed

  • facedown is one of my favourite labels and im a strong atheiest i could care less if all these bands deepthroat Jesus on a daily basis the music is really good. Facedown has really good bands that are metal even though the lyrics arent

  • @666inches

You see Christian's brothers. this unbelieving atheist loves this music. he doesn't care for the Jesus parts. it is not reaching him for Christ. anyone can make good music. but only the godly can make godly music that atheist's don't like. If the world likes it you know God does not like it. for you are not of this world but if you are still in love with this noise then double check your salvation.

  • @SuperBlane141

Dude don't be telling people to double check their salvation. For starters it is not our place to judge one's salvation! I love hardcore music and I have not met christians as on fire for God as those in hardcore bands. Why do you think you have the authority to decide what God does and does not like? Why is it that you think we have to create music that atheists don't like? An atheist is still a child of God and has no less of a right to enjoy christian music regardless of genre

  • @xfactor4558 Maybe you should read your Bible. God tells us how he wants us to worship him and it is not like the world. Lev 18:3 After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances. The application for a saved person from the world is not to follow the worlds ways in worshiping God. And Dude, I never judged anyone's salvation. You judged me falsely.

  • @xfactor4558 You see all I have to do is go to God's word and I can find how he wants to be worshiped and it is in a way that is not worldly or Demonic. I did not decide how to worship God, God did. but you can't find it because you don't read your Bible and if you did see it you don't obey it. and if you don't obey it you are grieving the Holy Ghost and after awhile you shall grieve Him if indeed you are even saved. You probably only made a commitment to Christ not believe on him by faith

  • @SuperBlane141 speak their faith and LIVE IT in front of non Christian bands to be an example of Christ and to share the message. They are not conforming but rather going into an area where some people are scared to go because "God so loved the world", and our last message from Christ calls us to preach the gospel to "the ends of the earth". Go look @ an interview with Mattie Montgomery from For Today and you will see he is more passionate for Christ than most pastors and hes a "demon vocalist"

  • @666inches For Today?

  • @666inches hope for the dying a plea for purging gideon just to name a few

  • @666inches Im good friends with the guys in Gideon (theyre from my hometown.) and they put on killer shows. Same with Plea! All awesome dudes!

  • Why are you listening to Facedown bands then? You just made a perverse statement by saying you could care less if they deepthroat Jesus, and implied their lyrics aren't metal because they are Christian. You really don't like bands on that label based on those statements.

  • @Rawk4Life your an idiot im saying it doesnt matter to anyone that these bands are gay for god let them be doesnt mean us non believers cant appreciate good metal. I do like the bands on this label clearly why else would i be commenting about them its true read the lyrics there different but tolerable

  • You said "I could care less if all these bands deepthroat Jesus on a daily basis..." Who's the real idiot here?

  • And you said "it doesn't matter to anyone that these bands are gay for god, let them be." Why not just be truthful and come right out and say "Even though these bands are homosexuals for being in a love with a non-visible male being, they're pretty good?" Don't hide the fact that your intent is to say they are gay either way.

  • @Rawk4Life lol dude let christians be christian and ill be athiest and still love the music fuck off

  • It doesn't work that way dude. You know how many Atheists I have come in contact with on Youtube? Based on their reactions, they DON'T want to let Christians be Christians, and neither do militant Christians want to let Atheists be Atheists. If you fully believe that your opinions and values matter, you wouldn't keep them to yourself.

  • @666inches what are metal lyrics?

  • @666inches your right the lyrics arent good........their great

  • -walks away-

  • hey guys, i like this song

  • I have fallen in love.

  • Jesus never conformed his message to that of the people around him. That is why they ridiculed him as being a religious fanatic. Paul never conformed the message of Christ Cross and your sanctification so the people could relate. That is why they persecuted him everywhere he went. If Jesus and Paul didn't conform their message why should we conform the message of the cross so Punk, Grunge or Gothic Rockers can relate. 2Cor 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

  • @SuperBlane141 Superblane and BrotherJohnF are missing the fact that Jesus doesn't care what our music to Him sounds like. If it's praise from a thankful heart, then why would He care what it sounds like? All He wants is our hearts.

  • LOOOOVVVEE IT!! I watch TVU, but i haven't watched it in a looonnggg time, so they've been puting up new vids, like this one, and i'm MISSING OUT ON THEM XP...When will I ever learn???? XD

  • I think the question really is it God's will for us to be conformed to the image of the world or are we to be conformed to the image of Christ? Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

  • Nobodies hearts and minds are like eggs. The battle for your heart is in what you put into your hearts via your ears and eyes and the devil knows that. If he can get you feeding your brain with that which is similar to that what you did before you were saved then you really are not growing in sanctification. Jer 17:9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it? I don't question your salvation but your sanctification and separation from the world.

  • @SuperBlane141

Lol, the funny thing is I didn't listen to metal or screaming music AT ALL before I really got to know Christ. I listened to the poppy and hip-hoppy stuff on secular radio. Then I checked out the bands like Pillar and Kutless who got me into more hardcore bands like Demon Hunter which led me to the rest of the genre. I read the lyrics before I listen to any band to make sure they are in line with what God says. I don't fall for the lumping-in of bands into the "Christian" genre.

  • @SuperBlane141 honestly kid you have NO idea what you are talking about. Based on this music you are making ASSUMPTIONS about SOMEONE ELSE'S BELIEF in Christ. NONE of your verses condemn hardcore music but rather people's hearts and the manner of their worship. And if you knew anything in the Bible there were many practices that were pagan and even the first part of John was a POEM ABOUT ZEUS but it was changed to PRAISE GOD. These artists do just that. They do not conform when they tour they

  • i love it, so beautiful

  • see i list in to Christian core band cuz i find there lyrics more power full then other bands i listen to

  • ooh so THAT'S what Santa does in the offseason, burns our Christmas letters along with our hopes of presents and does pottery :( not cool Santa, not cool...

  • I'm an atheist and I listen to some Christian hardcore/screamo music. Religion has nothing to do with it; it's all about the music, and they're a great band.

  • @jerkoftheyear145 Why must you flame on a YouTube comment? I can see God through my BANDS on my iPod if u want to get technical. The words and passion behind their music help me relate to my Savior in a real way when I listen to them. What's wrong with seeing my God in anything I do? I have to sit through class and pretend to see evidence the world is an accident... And pay for that!

  • Chillcore

  • I would fuck the screamer's voice.

  • @BrotherJohnF You maybe my brother in Christ, but how does the way that the instruments are played determine whether or not this song honors God? To say that this music is Satanic is completely illogical. The lyrics clearly praise God. "Offer up a new song." It is legalistic, judgmental Christians like you that I and so many other Christians are ashamed and embarrassed to be associated with. Who are you bringing to Christ by your rude and degrading comments and unsound assumptions? Just think!

  • @tmbasser you know Satan is the most subtle when he deceives. He will use the word of God as he did Eve, Job and Jesus Gen3, Job 1-4, Luke 4. He mimics the works of God to deceive and destroy 2Thess 9; Job 1:16. and he and his workers disguise themselves 2 Cor 11:14, 15. Does God's word want us to look like Hippies, drug addicts, hip hoppers, Punk rockers, Goth's, Homosexuals? Wearing leathers, t-shirts with drug paraphernalia, r promote illicit sex? Sanctification is God's will 1Th 4:3

  • these dudes ripped off switchfoot on lyrics. "we were meant to live for so much more. Have we lost ourselves??" not kool

  • @crAshN4L you do realize pretty much everything has been done before so there are bound to be a few similarities.

  • @crAshN4L haha actually, i think someone has pointed that out to them before...

They posted on their myspace while they were still writing "Realis" that their new album will have all Switchfoot lyrics... I love sarcasm...

  • i love the notes the singer hits, its very nice

  • しびれた~自虐的な気持ちになった時、いつも聞く!全てがふっ切れる!

    日本でライブしてほしい!

  • \m/ o.O \m/

  • dude the drummers shirt is top lol

  • Oh, youtube arguments. Who gives a fuck? Just listen to the damn song.

  • tight video. I love the musicians' passion at the end (especially the keyboardist, you can feel his hands hit the keys) when the "can't we offer a new song..." lines come in. Awesome band

  • did they mean to use a switchfoot lyric?

  • @jakenathan24 really? which one XD

  • I still fail to see how having some people find God in this music is in any way bad. Actually, I fail to see how finding God anywhere is bad. SuperBlane, I'm sorry that this music brings back bad memories. Obviously this music doesn't relate to you religiously and it doesn't have to, but what I'm trying to say is that there are thousands of other music listeners out there who DO find God in this type of music, sometimes it's the only place they find him, and I don't see how that's bad.

  • I'm pretty sure this is close to what demons must sound like. This music would go great as a sound track to a snuff film. It's not from my God, the God of the Bible, but it glorifies the Devil.

  • @greenbear777 have you looked at the lyrics?

  • @greenbear777 God doesnt mind what it sounds like, as long as it has the right intentions and is being done for him, he loves it! u may not like this music, but thats ur opinion, u shouldnt go off saying that this is for the devil, just cuz it doesnt sound like typical church music! christianity isnt even about church all the time, its about having a personnel relationship with Jesus, and spreading his word in anyway that u can! take a look at the lyrics, all of their stuff glorifies God!

  • @greenbear777 how do you know what a demon sounds like? what a demon looks like? where in the bible does it say that? If the bible is your source of foundation then you should be able to answer this. Romans 10:2-4 says that they have ZEAL but no knowledge they started worshiping their own ways. The world has portrayed demons to look a certain way but according to the bible, satan was the most beautiful angel and says he masquerades as an angel of light... why would he look and sound like that?

  • hey boys you all need to relax, and leave your bible thumping thoughts at home, can you not just sit back and enjoy the music these boys are presenting to you. The fact they choose to sing about the Lord and faith rather than mutilation or killing is very refreshing. But somehow you all need to put a damper on it.

  • Fret13music, Finding God in a place like this it could not be God. The music is so confusing and confusion is not of God. I wouldn't like to meet your God. I will except Jesus as he is not what you have made him out to be. I agree with John this is Devil Music. Sorry I was into this kind of stuff before it was hip and cool before i got saved but now I couldn't listen to it. It brings back to many bad memories.

  • @SuperBlane141 First, read the lyrics. It won't be "confusing" then. Secondly, do you think WE think its "hip" or "cool" to listen to this? The people that listen to Christian hardcore are a very small number and definitely don't do it because it's the new trend. Almost no one I've ran into at my college (of over 30,000 students) even like normal hardcore. I can and do see God in these bands every time I turn my iPod on. And that's all that's on it. Open your mind and heart.

  • @PacificRaptor YES!!

  • @PacificRaptor Does the admissions board at your college know about your use of psychotropic drugs? There doesn't seem to be any other explanation for seeing God every time you turn on your Ipod.

  • @PacificRaptor Does the admissions board at your college know about your use of psychotropic drugs? There doesn't seem to be any other explanation for seeing God every time you turn on your Ipod.

  • @PacificRaptor I want to be your friend :D

  • @PacificRaptor preach it brother, i get called a hypocrite all the time for listening to inspired metal. maybe it's just me, but i feel God would rather have a crowd of ecstatic dudes worshipping their heart out to energetic tunes rather than snoozing through sunday service

  • @knite778778 Couldn't have said it better myself

  • @PacificRaptor me agree!! :)

  • @PacificRaptor i listen to it casue i like it an i think personaly having faith these days is the cool thing hoesntly its not y i have it but it is lol

  • @SuperBlane141 this music is confusing? i dont think so. you obviously havnt listened to much music cause this is actually quite simple.

  • @SuperBlane141 Your hilarious. Honestly. I love it when religious fanatics like you come in and bash other peoples tastes in music. Really, just back off. And by the way, most of the people that listen to hardcore Christian bands, don't just do it because everyone else is, this music has a message that they get. Be glad that Christian messages are being put out there in a way that us "punk rockers" can relate to.

  • @DenverReich this is not called bashing (by the way that word is never found in the Bible). It is however a command in 1Thessalonians 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all [men]. while we are patient with your name calling and false accusations we will not compromise God's word.

  • @DenverReich this is not called bashing (by the way that word is never found in the Bible). It is however a command in 1Thessalonians 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all [men]. while we are patient with your name calling and false accusations we will not compromise God's word. this music and your attitude is unruly

  • @SuperBlane141 I have my opinions and you have yours, lets leave it at that.

  • @DenverReich You still don't understand it is not my opinion it is God's word. You guys need to spend less time listening to music and READ Your Bible's. If you did you would learn what God's will is on this whole subject. Not one reply from any of you has shown a Bible verse to support your reason for listening to this type of music. not Tyler, Denver, none of you supposed Christians have quoted the Bible once. so don't tell about opinions, I don't want your opinion i want God's word on it

  • @SuperBlane141 so i'm a supposed Christian? Just because i listen to this type of music makes me a non-Christian? I was raised Christian for my whole life. And by the way, in the bible it says not to judge one another, and that is what your doing, that doesn't sound very Christian to me. Just saying...

  • @DenverReich Every back slidden Christian I know uses the same verse to defend their sin. We are to judge righteously, we will judge angels and we have the right to judge spiritual things. READ your Bible and you would know these things. Being raised Christian does not mean you are saved or living a righteous life as a true Christian. Your salvation is not by blood, the will of man or a work of man. for someone who was raised Christian you know very little Bible.

  • I'll have to agree with brotherJohnF. slam/grunge rock this is such a worldly compromise. how anyone can feel calm listening to this or get any Biblical encouragement or edification is beyond me. There is no way this is of God. I would classify this as entertainment but not Godly entertainment nor edifying entertainment.

  • @SuperBlane141 thaaats pretty ignorant. everyone has they're own way of things. like if you cooked eggs on a griddle , and i cooked eggs on a skillet, its not like im gonna bash you for using a griddle cause the eggs are going to turn out the same. cooked.

  • "men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved"

    You love darkness.

"And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

    Your pleasure is in unrighteousness.

  • @BrotherJohnF I don't think you understand that this music is not the devil's music because they are praising god in the lyrics. the genre of music has absolutly nothing to do with anything. God doesnt care if you sing, scream, growl or pig squeal or whatever. He doesnt care what type of music they play. He cares about whats in their hearts and they are giving glory to god in this music. I'm not really sure why I'm bothered to write this cause it probably won't change your mind but who knows (=

  • @BrotherJohnF again.. ignorant... do you actually read the bible? or are you just going on musical taste?

  • Bands like A Hope for Home and It Prevails need to bring back real hardcore, like The Bled and stuff, when hardcore meant so much more then being br00tal and breakdowns.

  • This horrific garbage, filled with hatred, death, fear, and depression, is straight out of the pit of hell. That anyone could thinks that this filth represents or honors the Lord Jesus Christ boggles the mind. You would have to be insane, a liar, or both to argue that this is of God.

19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

    2 Peter 2

    King James Version

  • @BrotherJohnF Maybe some people just relate to God in different and more contemporary ways. In all honesty, and I mean no offense in saying this, it is outspoken Christians such as you that cause so many others to turn against Christianity. Let those who find God in this music find him and those who don't just find him somewhere else.

  • @fret13music No one can "find" God in this music because he's not there. This music is about suffering and death. In fact listening to this music brings about suffering and death! You don't get to choose how to relate to God, He does! love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Theses are the fruits of a life honoring Jesus. This music is filled with the rotting fruits of death. This music is DEATH.

  • @BrotherJohnF Death music huh? Funny, I feel calm and blessed when I listen to this band. And as for fruits, how about reading the lyrics to Redemption: A Grief Observed. We are called to judge with righteous judgment no (John 7:24)? Unless of course you have already made your judgment. In which case, you make yourself out to be ignorant of the things of God. Make your choice.

  • @BrotherJohnF If this is the case then I want nothing to do with "your" God. My God can be found everywhere and this is one of those places that "I" find him. If you can't agree with this then I'm sorry that you have been so blinded by religion. My relationship with God is not dependent upon what sort of music I listen to. He will love me no matter what and no matter where I can find and relate to him.

  • @BrotherJohnF How is something that the lyrics are directed about God bad? You sir are a stubborn fool and why most of the world thinks chistianity is full of a bunch of stubborn hypricits, you are the reason. Alot of people that like this music would see your comment and say why would i wanna be like them and judge others like a fool. Jesus didn't judge; he loved and encouraged!

  • @BrotherJohnF "God does not listen to the music from our instruments, or the sounds from our mouths. He listens to the worship in our hearts."

  • @BrotherJohnF I recommend listening to Defiance by In The Midst of Lions. It describes you perfectly.

  • @BrotherJohnF you do realize that by all your arguing and bringing people down and close-mindedness, all you are doing is pushing people away from Christ, not to him. imagine if someone from a different religion told you that soft christian worship songs are evil and you need to do this this and this to be good. i can guarantee that you would not want to agree with him, let alone convert to his way of thinking

  • we were meant for so much more!? have we lost ourselves? switchfoot anyone!!???

  • too generic sounding :(

  • I love how Facedown has such little confidence in their band that they would put Underoath as the videos first tag.

  • @MetalcoreChristian77 its good none the less

  • @mUslcfrEAk definitely dude, I just bought all their albums a couple weeks ago.

  • @MetalcoreChristian77 same here :)

  • @MetalcoreChristian77 or maybe its cause the band sounds like underoath so they put them as a tag.

  • Oh y'all are cool because you can insult me over the Internet

@xJUSTxPRAYx The fact that you pulled the most common Bieber insult makes you cooler! Keep up the good work!! :D

  • PORTLAND OREGON MOTHER FUCKERS !!!!!!!

  • Awesome band!

With hardcore bands (any kind of hardcore) that have keys, the pianist always looks funny jumpin around his board headbanging n stuff lol. Not that I don't like keyboards, they just look silly sometimes :P

ps: is it me, or do the screams sound kinda like some vocals from Thrice's album "Vheissu"? Or the album before it maybe...?

  • @7O0OL yes... iyt most definitly does

  • Ambientcore

  • ..sloppy..

Can't catch the beat to it

  • @Amazin1853 yeah, at the beginning its kind of hard to hear/feel the beat. But the verse is in 5/4 then switches to 4/4 in the chorus...

  • @Amazin1853

Better than what you can do. . .

  • @Amazin1853 Go listen to Justin Bieber. Suits you well.

  • @Amazin1853 are you def... 5/4 then 4/4 dumb bum

  • I've taken pride in saying this is my favorite band for 2 years now. :D

  • its not ambient hardcore its post hardcore

  • @RossHilyard no it is ambient hardcore, wait till you see them live! you'll agree! cheers!

  • Ambient/Hardcore. I like it :D

  • Fucking epic

  • @fullbloodedLSGH23 HAHAHAHAHA hoodiecore xD

  • skategeek101 they are so fuucking tight I went to there shows before they where signed there so fucking good

  • I kinda like it except for the screaming..

  • @thingthing25 >.> the screaming makes the song more emotional and even personal. The band over all is great, pretty unique style.

  • i loved them at sonshine :D

  • I've got that same ISIS hoodie, haha.

  • amazing clean/harsh vocals

  • it would be nice to see these guys at scream the prayer, maybe next year...

  • Nice and refreshing... kinda like guzzling a 2L Dr Pepper!:D

  • @DiscipleISAwesome yeah the guy has an old school punk rock voice

  • amazing!!

  • new favorite band, and that's saying alot! Haven't heard one dull song from these guys!

  • love it!! :D

  • The beginning scared the shit outa me.

  • @cameronrader92 how lol?

  • @BigEvan96 Just the old guy opening is eyes with the opening scream haha

  • i'm amazed again by this band.

    i love them :)

  • im related to Nathan (the screamer) tehe he's my cousin or uncle i dont remember

  • Great Job guys! I remember AHFH at JesusFest 2008 and all over the Centralia-Core scene! Everyone check out Burning Twilight's Farewell and Goodbye. Keep your eyes out in the Centralia, Washington area for more sick music if this catches your eyes and/or ears!

  • Look how far we haven't come!!!

AHFH's soundscape, on the contrary, is surely coming along very nicely.

Realis, being a conceptual album, takes the listener on a journey from 'everything is meaningless' to hope!

  • r these guys christian?

  • PORTLAND OREGON HELL YEA !!!!!!!!
