@zachbdude that's why he is often referred to (if briefly) in various documentaries about 'punk', as he was stripping rock down to basics long before it was the done thing, keeping it simple & making his point eloquently, usually in lyrics, tho he occasionally did it in music, ie egyptian reggae. when individual ideas get marketed to mass audience, thru managers & pr we get things like 'punk' that strip real popular culture of its elements & throw them back at us in souless formats.
