You do realize that if Revan had died on that battle cruiser when Malak fired on his bridge the Mandalorians would have never existed, so the clones would have never existed because Jango Fett would have never become one. So the Jedi would have fallen under the feet of the Empire so the rebellion would have never existed because everybody would be dead. So really, Revan made the whole story possible... trippy

Mandalorians existed a long time before Revan, in fact Mandalorian wars happened before the Jedi Civil war depictec in KOTOR, which Revan and Malak as padawans rallied forces agains them in their youth. Mandalorians are a very ancient warrior society, so I'm not sure where did you get that "Mandalorians would have never existed"??

@Elijan1996 get kotor on steam its 10 bucks u play as a scout scoundrel or soldier. and then u can become a jedi guardian sentinel or counsalor. as in the 2nd u dont know who u r really that well until u get through talking with ur companions and other stuff.

Bioware makes some incredible game, dont they? My God! They way they think of things is unbelieveable. All the hidden messages that were RIGHT in your face the whole time, and you never even think about it! They are geniuses! I cant wait until SWTOR comes out, and I get to see what's next from that great company!

I was watching a commentary for an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars in which Dave Filoni said he was going to have Revan and Darth Bane make an appearance on the planet Mortis. He said he didn't put them in the episode because it just wouldn't work well with the story. I thought it would have been incredible, and would would further tie the franchise together.
Its at times like this, looking back on the greatness of the Kotor games, that I really hate Lucasarts and Bioware for not continuing this epic series.

@awaker200 I already know he is part of the taral v flashpoint that leads the republic classes to rescue the prisoner. But Bioware has stated they will conclude Revan's story in the Old Republic. There's no screenshot of revan. and the trailer you are referring to i am aware of as well. Again nothing was stated that revan was alive in that trailer they just hinted at the possibility but way confirmed that he is alive.
All that we do know is that he plays a major role in both faction story
In most games and movies I can see the ending of them before im half way through them.... but this game my mouth was left wide open when this plot twist came around.

@HawaiiKnut I had something similar happen in KOTOR 2. When the handmaiden showed up and stole my ship, I got really excited that Revan was in the game. (My character looked exactly like her.)
this game is superb in very way except a couple. those are rectified in KotoR 2, they are: work bench (weapon upgrades) and force powers, lack of revitalize here, really makes some battles harder than they have to be (deck 2 on the Starforge for example). it's also irritating that you have to use heal or a medpack to heal 2 hit points because they don't heal themselves. But a very epic game none the less, looking forward to TOR and getting the ending of the story about Revan (finally).
Epic moment, I played it yesterday again, as a Jedi. It felt so wrong.... I think Revan should always be a Sith. It's the only game I have to choose the dark side because it's so awesome :D

For example like, he died in the Outer Rim, without giving any detailed information about his possible death.

Best. Twist. Ever. How I wished I was playing it Dark Side, I could've literally throttled Bastila. I had to play the whole thing over as a bad guy. And then several more times, just for good measure. ...hmm, I wonder if it'd run all over again on my 360?
I'm sure some people figured it out long before this point in the game, but man, did my jaw drop. This game is so epic! The Sith Lords was good, but this was the best.
When I watched this, my brain froze and I got chills, after taking all of it in and analyzing it, it made so much senses! I was awe struck, one of the greatest twists in video games history

When i first played this game i knew that something was wrong....why in the hell would would Bastila and main char. had visions of Revan's memories.Figured it out before this movie....but none the less this cut scene is the greatest plot twist in history of gaming!I got the shivers first time from 1:04 when Bastila says those epic lines!

It was strange that I just took it for granted that Revan was dead. I didn't pay much attention to whether he could be alive or anything. So I thought: "Well, I am just a random soldier who suddenly gets to know that I am are force sensitive." Standard story, I guessed...!
I was stunned that there was so many hints hidden behind those words said by the different characters. I admit, I had no clue about that I would be Revan.
I knew Revan was alive, but I didn't even consider the possibility that I was actually him.
My theory was that Bastila was a villain who had developed feelings for Revan, betrayed her fellow Jedi and secretly took Revan off the ship, nursed him to health and became his new pupil, and that she was his spy using me as a means to kill Malak, that way once I killed him, she'd reveal herself and Revan would come out of hiding to retake the Sith.
I knew the story. but when i saw this for the first time it gave me the chills.. i was like.. wow. quite scary.. everything said in the game seemed to add up, not paying attention when it is actually said... game is amazing.
I know my brother beat it before me and I accidentally found out, but I was still amazed when the cutscene kicked in. Props to Bioware! Even knowing the end I didn't catch all of these quotes and piece them together.

I figured this out pretty quick being a SW wiz and all.I knew they Jedi never killed those they captured. EP III You can save people from dying too. The Jedi can also increase a midi-chlorian count...not just Sith. So even if Revan had died from the firing from Malak the Jedi could have easily kept him alive. This wasn't even a shock when I got to this part in the game. I just kept playing ready to beat it.

I was just like "The Sixth Sense": you just get so sucked into that movie (and in this case, game), you don't even pay attention until that very end, with your head left scratching thinking "How the hell did I not see this coming?!"
What makes this plot twist really stand out is how immersed into the game you are at that point; like a good book. I was so caught up while playing it I didn't even try to read into where the plot might go next; I just wanted to get there. That why it took me so off guard. I had to take a break once the cut scene was over.
Lots of games these days think that backstory equals plot. It doesn't.

I have to admit, this is probably the biggest plot twist I've ever seen in a game...and FF7 doesn't count because that game thought it could substitute plot twists instead of an actual plot...
I remember watching that and thinking, "No way!" I couldn't believe I'd been playing as REVAN!!! I thought there had to be some mistake! And then when it was found to be true, I felt like an idiot for missing all the obvious verbal clues.
my first suspisions were when he said "can lead u down an all too familiar" path and "what if revan isnts dead" but i didnt make anyy guesses" it was only when saul karath talked about history between malak and me that i began to wonder.
i got suspsios when the master jedai on Dantooine said "how can we be sure Reaven is dead" it made n secnes all i could think waz they were talking about me
Are you kidding? On my first playthrough I got suspicious at Dantooine, then when Nemo said, "You of all people" should realize how unimportant a name is, I figured it out.
There are patches but none never ever really solved the problem, save often its the only tjing I can say and also you can quick save with f5 learn it its usefull.
Try this its the latest patch 1.03D just change your launcher with this, you backup your original launcher just in case, it should solve quite some problem espicially if you run on an intel mac

Bioware does it best! This and Me1 confrontation with Sovreign best moments in gaming I've ever experienced.
(2 noteworthy moments also: HL1 Chapter where the marines enter the base ending was also pretty good and MGS3 ending well MGS4 ending also!!)

I whish you could have stilled played as revan in kotor II. the story would have been so much better.
revan returns from unknown space to find the galaxy in turmoil and so swears to libiratew it, or once again conquer it.
and if you wanted to make the player go back to level 1 you could say that the true sith weakened Revan.
Thats my opinion any way.

Best. Twist. Ever. How I wished I was playing it Dark Side, I could've literally throttled Bastila. I had to play the whole thing over as a bad guy. And then several more times, just for good measure. ...hmm, I wonder if it'd run all over again on my 360?

When I watched this, my brain froze and I got chills, after taking all of it in and analyzing it, it made so much senses! I was awe struck, one of the greatest twists in video games history

When i first played this game i knew that something was wrong....why in the hell would would Bastila and main char. had visions of Revan's memories.Figured it out before this movie....but none the less this cut scene is the greatest plot twist in history of gaming!I got the shivers first time from 1:04 when Bastila says those epic lines!
Imagine how could would of been if KOTOR1 was made in 2008 or 2009!With all improvements in gaming sphere!

It was strange that I just took it for granted that Revan was dead. I didn't pay much attention to whether he could be alive or anything. So I thought: "Well, I am just a random soldier who suddenly gets to know that I am are force sensitive." Standard story, I guessed...!
I was stunned that there was so many hints hidden behind those words said by the different characters. I admit, I had no clue about that I would be Revan.

I knew Revan was alive, but I didn't even consider the possibility that I was actually him.
My theory was that Bastila was a villain who had developed feelings for Revan, betrayed her fellow Jedi and secretly took Revan off the ship, nursed him to health and became his new pupil, and that she was his spy using me as a means to kill Malak, that way once I killed him, she'd reveal herself and Revan would come out of hiding to retake the Sith.
But the actual plot twist was MUCH more shocking!

I knew the story. but when i saw this for the first time it gave me the chills.. i was like.. wow. quite scary.. everything said in the game seemed to add up, not paying attention when it is actually said... game is amazing.

I know my brother beat it before me and I accidentally found out, but I was still amazed when the cutscene kicked in. Props to Bioware! Even knowing the end I didn't catch all of these quotes and piece them together.

I figured this out pretty quick being a SW wiz and all.I knew they Jedi never killed those they captured. EP III You can save people from dying too. The Jedi can also increase a midi-chlorian count...not just Sith. So even if Revan had died from the firing from Malak the Jedi could have easily kept him alive. This wasn't even a shock when I got to this part in the game. I just kept playing ready to beat it.

Am i the only one who thinks Bastila was one of the best female chars in RPG games?voice is just mesmerizing really and the way they made her char in game was really good i really thought it was one of the best characteristics of KOTOR. She even pwns all characters in KOTOR 2 as well. And ofc Revan to me owns every character in the star wars universe...his story is just amazing go to wookiepedia and read about him its really fascinating!

What makes this plot twist really stand out is how immersed into the game you are at that point; like a good book. I was so caught up while playing it I didn't even try to read into where the plot might go next; I just wanted to get there. That why it took me so off guard. I had to take a break once the cut scene was over.
Lots of games these days think that backstory equals plot. It doesn't.

There are patches but none never ever really solved the problem, save often its the only tjing I can say and also you can quick save with f5 learn it its usefull.

Try this its the latest patch 1.03D just change your launcher with this, you backup your original launcher just in case, it should solve quite some problem espicially if you run on an intel mac
