  • don't kill me, but snes emulation seems..not good at this point as should be, imo. strange.

  • This video is from July 2008 - it doesn't reflect "at this point" at all. ;)

  • What I can't figure out is how there are already homebrew applications for the Pandora, when it isn't released yet

  • It runs Linux, so some people are just writing generic Linux programs using libraries that will be available on Pandora (SDL, OpenGL ES 2.0, etc.)

But some of the hardware and emu developers got a special prototype circuit board to work with.

  • does this emulator work with all SNES games or just a few?

  • I don't see why it wouldn't, except for that one megaman game thats un-emulatable...

  • Probably most of them. The ones that use a special extra graphics chip are extremely difficult, but it might be done.

  • Maybe not extremely difficult, but I think the original StarFox used a SuperFX chip, which will be much MORE difficult to emulate than the regular SNES games.

  • Pandora will be able to emulate SuperFX and StarFox (and I think there was another chip?).

  • This looks great! I, for one, love the name, and it looks like it's running pretty fast! what can we expect in the ways of compattibility? will it run Super Mario RPG? (that was a game my PSP emulator struggled with) And does it crash much?

Also, StephenJNeate, a don't think ZODTTD is making/porting a emulator... but according to the emulator thread Tinus is making one called LittleJhon, (or mabye the other way round) but hey, the more emus the better; one may run games the other can't.

  • The Pandora is around three times more powerful and with a GPU clocked at 1100MHz AND 128MB RAM I can see this running Nintendo 64 or (dare I say) Saturn.

  • Saturn? no. the N64 is probably the most advanced hardware the system can emulate... possibly DS too. ever run a Saturn emulator on a modern PC? it's very messy as it has 10+ different processors...

  • You're right, I'm a moron. Didn't see the different processors for every single working part in the damn thing!

  • the cpu is clocked at 600Mhz.

  • I know but there's a "Co-Processor" clocked at 440MHz.

  • isnt ZODTTD making a snes emulator/porting the one he already ported to iphone/itouch?

  • That is awesome, now all I need to know is when I can buy one so I can play super mario world in the dentist office xD
