  • Where exactly did you find this guy? I am in monroe county and have never seen one. Im near Hoosier Nat'l Forest and Lake Monroe

  • That's a very nice snake, saw two down in Indiana on a trip in July.

A word of caution however, carrying a snake hook around and actually posting video of you handling this snake is probably not the best idea. I'm sure you know these are protected in Indiana, and this could be classified as harassment. The DNR is closely involved with research projects on this species and mostly monitors daily movements.

  • I highly doubt you found this snake in this open field, and moving a possible telemetred snake could really interfere with research data. Unless you were with someone who I actively involved with a research project, this video could get you in some real trouble.

  • thanks for the heads up... One of my family friends actually found this guy on their land and called the DNA having them move it from their land, because early that month their kid had been biten by a copperhead... they got it in a bucket and we came and moved it about a 1/2 mile away into a grave yard, i know that it will most likely find its way back their but they have alot of livestock and young kids and it was dangerous for both the snake and them to leave it on the property...

  • the DNR said they wouldnt come and remove it for some reason and thats why i came and removed it... and of course i had to flim a video on it haha

  • awesome Timber, thoses snakes are so tight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cool man nice videos!!!

  • Nice snake! Whay did you take it home tho?

  • @kevin6390 Sorry i havent replied till now. But i didnt take it home, we removed it from a friends land to a near by grave yard for both the snake's safety and the family's.

  • @serpentman91 Nice glad to hear that!

  • I have been looking for timbers to photograph for about 3 years down in Brown County State Park, and I have yet to see one. Very nice find.
