For almost 20 years, I've wondered what camera trick was used to change Dwayne back to Byron so flawlessly, but I think Kadeem jumped away and Joe jumped back in while the camera panned towards the preacher. You could hear them switch at 2:13. Kadeem was simply hidden behind Joe and Orlando. Just my theory.
Dwayne & Whitley should've had an official ceremony later on. Hopefully it wasn't a waste of money for Byron, assuming Mr. Gilbert paid for everything.

Debbie Allen really changed the show. The show was all over the place the first couple of years. Debbie really made the show have a focus on certain characters
This show started out SLOW the first season Lisa Bonet was on there. The total focus was on her and her HBCU college, Hilman, which didn't look or feel like an HBCU to me. Once Lisa left the following year, however, the writing /directing changed and Hilman looked more like a TRUE HBCU. The focus was on Jalisa, Walter, Whitley, Dwayne, Ron, Kim, Freddie, etc therefore allowing us to enjoy the Dwayne/Whitley coupling along with others. TV One shows reruns & I'm glad; this show was GOOD!
gives me chills everytime...i love the intensity when dwayne came up & ron had his back. there will never be another show as gook as this.i pray for a relationship like that.
