I was reminded of this movie scene last night when my friend proposed to his partner of 5 years. The saddest thing is that we liked each other and knew each other before they started dating. I was his crutch when he needed someone to lean on during their relationship and I love him. He says he loves me too. I don't know how much or how far along it is in both of us but this scene would be representative of how I would express myself to him one last time. Love can be terrible.
