The one who plays evita is so good, and che too, but, the one who plays peron is such horrible, he sings like a girl... and he doesnt have nothing similar with peron. Sorry if im bad writting im from argentina.

Disagree with you who DIS the Juan Peron actor..... he has talent and I would cast him in many other CHARACTER ROLES.... he has instincts or takes his direction very well..... I enjoyed him a lot.... except for the socks.... in bed... it just bothered me.... like Eva's shoes in bed...

LOL I went to this high school that I cannot, say but there were TWO Evitas who shared the role, variating by day, and the other one was WAAAYYYY better. It was kind of obvious to everyone in our school. Most say she got the role because she actually is Argentinian. The other girl who played hit all the notes and she was the MOST talented singer in the school HANDS DOWN. And she DID hit all the notes and she OWNED IT!!

Evita was sounding decent up until the key change in "he supports you for he loves you!...". I mean if this was hard for high schools singers to sing (which this play is hard enough to sing for even seasoned singers)...why not lower the key? I mean they did it for the godawful movie adaptation with the mediocre singers Madonna and Antonio Banderas since they couldn't sing it comfortably in the original key.

Evita is a challenging show. It takes talented actors with powerhouse voices, even for professionals. I love high school theatre, but this might be beyond their level.

Eva and Che are... convincing enough and look promising. I would bet the Peron has good comedic timing and can act, but is not in his element here.

The direction is very derivative of Hal Prince's original. It's understandable- the performances and spectacle carry this show, not the shaky plot- but it shows no vision.

Peron sounds like he's in a comedy doing a skit on EVITA; Eva is not up for the role, physically or vocally and Che sounds like a bullfrog singing a love ballad to a princess.
