it's kind of difficult for me to have friends and do well at school at the same time 'cause where i live the school day is over at 16:20 and then you have to drive home and maybe drop of some of your friends who don't have cars and are to cool to ride the bus.. so i'm home at 17:00 and then if i study for 4 hours there's absolutely no time for friends so you kind of have to choose between the two :/ and that's no fun!
Graduating high school with a 4.0 GPA in regular and Honors classes is not as impressive as AP classes or IB Diploma with a 3.0 GPA. Academic rigor is more important than GPA.
These are some really good tips. However, just make sure you're really happy, because if you're neglecting your friends during the school time in order to be successful, but aren't happy, then it isn't worth it. Take it from me - I was exactly the same as you in High School - and I got into one of the best Universities in the world, but that didn't make me happy.
By the way, not to seem rude or anything but it's grammatically incorrect to say "do good in school", it's "do well".

You won't have time to just relax in college. I was the valedictorian of my highschool and I honestly had no life at all in college. I was in pre-med and I got straight A's but it took me SOOOOO much effort to get those marks.

@SabrinasLifee Memorizing is what many people do to get good grades, which normally works in high school because grades are easy to get, but when you get to University, they won't just ask you if something is red or blue (metaphor, btw) ; they will see your real potential and ask you things that they didn't teach you. Being disciplined is good and I congratulate you for that, but ANYONE can follow an schedule and sit and read for hours; being intelligent is a lot more than that.
i get what you mean with the tests...at my school the tests are worth 70% of my grade and just the regular homework is only worth 30%. I actually use it to my advantage though...i study the same way you do and it really does work.! I am actually a sophmore right now too.! :)
I think she means that some people memorize things for the test and after they pass the test, they forget what they memorize! If you don't apply what you memorize, then you don't learn.

@96605devil Take your math book and do the problems over and over and over and over again until you understand the problems inside and out. That's the only way I've ever learned how to study math.

Math takes me like 9 hours because my teacher was a professional math teacher and we got like year 11 math and we were only year 6

@daydreamer1995555 I would say since you don't have alot of time between now and exams, try not to spend too much time studying one topic, but focus first on understanding the basics and then going back and understanding the material. That's what I try to do in the remaining days before exams! I hope this makes sense and helps! :)

You won't have time to just relax in college. I was the valedictorian of my highschool and I honestly had no life at all in college. I was in pre-med and I got straight A's but it took me SOOOOO much effort to get those marks.

@SabrinasLifee Memorizing is what many people do to get good grades, which normally works in high school because grades are easy to get, but when you get to University, they won't just ask you if something is red or blue (metaphor, btw) ; they will see your real potential and ask you things that they didn't teach you. Being disciplined is good and I congratulate you for that, but ANYONE can follow an schedule and sit and read for hours; being intelligent is a lot more than that.

i get what you mean with the tests...at my school the tests are worth 70% of my grade and just the regular homework is only worth 30%. I actually use it to my advantage though...i study the same way you do and it really does work.! I am actually a sophmore right now too.! :)

I think she means that some people memorize things for the test and after they pass the test, they forget what they memorize! If you don't apply what you memorize, then you don't learn.

ur like me! but i do chill sometime. cus like school can be stressfull... but ur still lucky! in my school we have like alot of activities going on, like science fair, math coligen ( its a math compition) Art mania, Choir audition & practices, Sports ect. I barely can even make true the day! & homework is a must do for me cus if i havent finish my homework yet, I will feel the need that says I can't sleep! BTW I take 12 subjects a day!

yeh in australia straight A'S is almost impossible literallly no one gets them ever so stop mking people feel bad with your straight A"S school work doesnt effect your future much till you get to upper high school im a teacher at an secondry school and the average grades are usally b"s as for honours math we dont have it in most countrys
