i absolutely cannot believe what this guy is saying.. these guys are brilliant songwriters (not just casey, though i know most of their songs' skeletal elements belong to him), and though he at least acknowledges their musicianship, i feel like i must retort. this is one of the few bands that i believe can rival tool in their ingenuity and song craftsmanship. no one talks about TDH and says, "yeah they kinda sound like__" and there's a reason for that. no one can pull this stuff off but them.

ok to everyone who thinks they should play arenas, yes that would be great, but realize when most bands get huge like that, they end up losing originality because producers make them sound a certain way. you can see it with bands like coheed and cambria, modest mouse, taking back sunday, etc. and i personally think these guys should play with BTBAM! done

@Mattystew17 that is assuming that they will change labels. and alot of people willingly change their sound and sometimes it changes because they progress. but i think that the Dear Hunter is satisfied with their sound. their sound also depends on the producer and if their true to it they will stay with it. their epicness i would hope will never change

@madl55 i agree with you. i actually thing the just left the last label or the contract expired or whatever but. Casey was saying that until they find a label that will work with how he works, they are not just going to jump into any label offering unless its one that will work for how they are a band. he also said this is the reason for the delay on act IV and playing any European tours. they just don't have a good that to back them through a tour that big.

BTBAM has incredible talent, just because their songs arent catchy at first doesnt mean their boring. listen to the song "ants of the sky" the whole way through and i bet your opinion would change.

@Mattystew17 i have their whole discography, ive listened to all of it. they are boring. all of them are talented but their songs go nowhere and never create a release. sorry insulted a band you like. funny thing is i've probably listened to them more than you have. white walls and selkies are the only songs i can listen to without changing the track. id never see them live for a laundry list of reasons.

@caulenl ? dude i have listened to coheed for years, they have changed so much since they started. my personal opinion is that their new album is way different than any other that they have had, it just doesnt seem to me like coheed. and the music education comment is ridiculous, chill out. but i take back the word "originality" it was my fault for using the completely wrong word. those bands are completely still original, im just saying that their sounds have changed a lot from their old stuff
