I think this is great, but it's kind of disrespectful for them to give off the impression that they're the first people to create an unbiased renderer when programs like Maxwell Render and Fryrender have been around for years, which introduced the idea of 'point and shoot' renderers.
hahaha dont be mistaken they ARE using fermis but NEW quadro cards like the 4000 series is based on FERMI infrastructure .... although it works fie with gaming GPU... and that is the future of rendering is not on your personal computer is on a cloud (a computer you rent and is 100X of times more powerful than a desktop) that has 32 fermis that can almost insta render... in the next years is nonsense to buy a quaddro card to help rendering since you just need enough power to design and not render
I can't find the "mental ray iray renderer" in the list renderer ?

Its not real time if the image goes to crap when you move the light, or camera, and then you have to wait for the image to refine.

Will iray work with mentalray and standard material or do you have to use a special set?

The No. 1 is for sure not Max. The No. 1 is Poser, cause every Wanker makes his own pleasure Doll.
But it proves always good to be bold as bold possible, right :-)

@DonBurroni only to have a huge power bill ok might be good, drop the quadro line, and put ecc in the kids stuff.

@Stalleen if i heard correctly they were using 2 fermis, wich i'm guessing, means 2 nVidia GTX 480
good to know that this technology is not only for Quadros
