Well at that time they were the only known true remnant church being the only known Christian Church that kept the Sabbath. The real original remnant church was very few in number and hiding in the wilderness as prophesied until about 1600. Then they came to the US and established the first sabbath keeping church, not SDA in Massachusetts. They do have a lot of truth and they're one of the true remnants but not the full original group. The true church was down to as few as 20 members at times..
