I too luv land rovers but for 60000 bucks brand new I'm sure ass hell not going to tear it up in the field...for an off road 4x4 it should be simple ,cheap, and rugged and nothing more ...daviejones hit the nail on the head ....to many creature comforts takes the fun out of it...and if the fun is gone ...then whats the point
i miss the old Discovery's when a car was a car not a fancy people carrier with lots of coffee holders and microchips i did drive the disco 3 TDV6 when my Ford Maverick got trashed by a van and it was alright but it doesn't feel like a true 4X4 anymore it isnt the good old fashioned 2 gear stick thing it's a dial that controlls 4X4 with microchips and computers so you no longer drive the car anymore sorry but give me a 2004 Discovery II TD5 Landmark anyday
I've owned 4 Discovery's and loved them all, I have a LR3 now and I have to say I miss my Discovery. I've had my share of problems with my LR3, but all in all when you drive any other SUV (Chevy Blazer they gave me for a loaner car) it's makes you feel real good when you get back into your Landrover. I'll never own anything else.
My parents bought a Discovery 3 TDV6 XS about 1 year ago, and already have traveled about 45.000 kms. No problems at all, still feel as new as 1 year ago, not a minimal fault.
I've had mine for a year and really love it. I take it off road quite a bit and it handles very well. The Terrain Response system is unbeatable. I traded my Jeep Wrangler (with all the extras) on my LR3 and I honestly belive that the LR3 will go places my Jeep wouldn't go. I am serious about off roading, I don't hold back. The LR3 is built like a tank but handles like a sports car. I'm not a bit sorry I bought mine.
the sport is an LR3 they are built on the same fame but he sport has the 390 hp V-8 so the sport is the better buy at 72,500 for a sport suv but for a family car the lr3 is alot bigger on the inside i know these thing i own a lr3
On road a RR sport would most likely win in a review. But off road the LR3 is better hands down. The RR sport was made more based on on-road features.
I agree. The Land Rover LR3 is one of the most advanced SUVs of all time and I can't wait to buy mine. So if you're confused and don't know what to pick take a test drive from your local Land Rover and see what suits you. But if you buy an LR3 trust me you won't regret it. I've driven one and I went crazy for it. ;-)

This is an American review, and in America it is called the LR3.

TDV6 or V8? Which has better specs for eventual trips and proposal for familiar use?
ppmeyer 3 years ago
V8 is the best it has all the amenities you'll need for every voyage you go on. Hope you get one, trust me you won't regret you bought and LR3. ;-)

Many people say it's best SUV of the world. Better than Range Rover Sport Supercharged. Do you agree?

I have to agree with you, my family and i love it!
