  • haha. he said shaft twice

  • Odd. I didn't get that stand.

  • thank you so much! i have legitamently been trying to fit my shock mount to my stand for the past 20 minutes and you saved me!!!1 now i just need to undo everything and star over........

  • took me a year to figure out that I can unscrew the silver bit. Had given up the mic stand for good until I chanced across this vid. Thanks!

  • You rock! I had the most difficult time trying to figure this out!!! Thanks for saving my day : )

  • is there an on stage/ bigger mic stand for this mic? if so, how would i attached it

  • thankyou so much man that little adapter inside the shockmount was pissin me off

  • 2:08 lol

  • yes it screws back in , and you might be able to use a penny or butter knife

  • Mine came with one with a sort of tripod plus a boom/mic stand adapter.. now I can get it on my mic stand just fine.. but I can't use the tripod because the part that screws into the adapter is a smaller diameter than the tripod.. if that isn't fail I don't know what is, unless there is another way of doing this but yours didn't come with the same stand and I do have the same mic.

  • @PMSAnex Is the problem the little adapter that's inserted into the stand as in this video?

  • @cdig2000 yes it is. I totally missed that part because I assumed I'd have a harder time since we had different stands.. I tried to find my comment to remove it but failed.

Now my new problem is I don't have a flat head wide enough to unscrew it out, and does it screw back in? Because I need it for my mic stand, but still want the tripod for the desk.

    Thanks for your quick reply!

  • Ahh~~ At last! That adapter on the shock mount were a huge problem for me on my assemble of the mic. thank you for the tip~!

  • What's the shock mount do? does it come with it?

  • @RunescapePwnerhunter The shock mount keeps absords the little low end rumble of the room , or little movements of the mic from getting on your recording...

  • were can i get all that for a cheap prise

  • thanks. the adapter part was a brack wrecker

  • Thanks mate! good job.

  • cdig2000: many thanks. You helped me out indirectly because I have the version with the mini tripod stand and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how it was supposed to screw into the clip. I was about to give up and googled it on a lark, watched your video without much hope, and then you got to the part about removing the adapter with a screwdriver and I was saved! I can't believe they don't tell you that in the manual...I had no idea there was an adapter in there.

  • @embassy1010 haha same problem over here. but i knew it shouldnt have been that hard to remove the adapter so i looked at it again and figured out that a dime or a coin can twist it open. no need for a screw driver

  • @embassy1010 oh this is the part I missed/need! Thanks!

  • You are the man! I was so heart broke today when I thought I ordered the wrong shockmount for my c01 mic.

You saved the day big guy

  • hey man do u know if i can use this shock mount with M- AUDIO NOVA???

  • @BeZzElL4 no sorry

  • @BeZzElL4 the sp01 shockmount is made for the samson co1 co3 and co1u and co3u models only :) anything along the size of these mics should fit

  • i am trying to switch the desktop stand from just a plain stand to the shockmount but the bit that went on the stand for the other bit is stuck and will not come on for the white bit to attach on the stick, how do you untighten it?

  • I have the tripod and I have no idea how to put it on cause apparently mic clip can't screw onto it...

  • lol i have the same problem. did you figure it out?

  • @alanbalfe same part I missed, you unscrew the thing that is in there out.. I just hope it goes back in because I need it out for the tripod but in for my micstand O-o

  • @PMSAnex Lifesaver! Thanks very much. It's not obvious at all that you can unscrew the silver bit, and doesn't seem to mention it in the instructions either.

  • thak you for once I found a good youtube clip that helped!!!

  • Thank you very much for this demo!!

  • very helpful!!!

  • Awesome thanks!! Very helpful

  • ups just arrived with my co1u kit and i open it up and i stumbled at the small screw... so i youtubed it and here i am! thanks 5*
