  • I have to use these things next friday for a gig in a bar. Now I was wondering, what is the best way with them if you are mixing two songs to make sure that the beats are synchrone? hope you can help me

  • @DonKB030 Cue the song up and use the certain loops available

  • can u loop just 2 beats, the 1 beat, then 1/2 beat,1/4 beat, 1/8 beat? rather than the whole bar?

  • it has a BOOBULE effect. haha and has a pattern 3 with no light, and pattern 4 no light at all

  • @SLbushwacker66 400's ALL DAY!! the 800 mk2's got no chance. not even a question. biggg for nothinggggg lol i got rid of my 1000 mk1's for these. haters keep hatin they are not like a damn toy dont know who the fuck would even say that.

  • jet also known as flangler?

  • cdj800mk2's or cdj400's????????????

  • This looks and sounds a little bit like a toy. CDJ 850 upwards all day long.

  • @DirtyHertzUK these were pre cdj-2000, 900, 850, and 350 and are/were marketed at the bed room dj's, small mobile dj's, and small clubs. the 850's came after and are for those looking for the industry standard layout. As the predecessor and the bass that pioneer evolved off for usb devices they work great. I have a pair myself and they are a smaller foot print and work perfect. They're only a toy if you use them like one. Effects are meant to enhance a track, not be the track.

  • you can use every traktor version with them, what a question?

have traktor duo controlled by 2 CDJ400s via HID. works perfect! :)

  • so u will need two i pods... the fuck

  • @l1e1n1n1a1r1t1 Not necessarily since u can hook a computer up to it, or you could use ur ipod on one and then use a usb or cd on the other.

  • @BloodofBoar can u use traktor scratch pro with it?

  • 05:29 hahah One - Swedish House Mafia

  • @Ingason8 lol

  • GINGER DO HAVE SOULS, hahahah XD im just kidding

  • Thinking of gettin myself a pair of these for christmas!

  • how expensive

    it is?

  • Did I heard u can use these with serato without paying a dollar for the serato program or the box. So serato kind free?

  • i like the way he says "400" .. Fyor hundrad

  • one question..... when playn from ipod... can i adjust the bpm too???

  • @TheDjdimitris yes you can (:

  • @johanmulliz does it have bpm counter?

  • @frct94 Yes, Pioneer got the best BPM counter on the market, the BPM counter is similar to the one in the CDJ 800-850-900-1000-2000!! (:

  • Whats the track in this?

  • nice video man !!!!

  • very nice decks

  • Awesome advise...........

  • does somebody wants to present me 1000€ :D

i really want 2 of those guys <33

  • i need some goddam money so i can get it!!

  • hello, is the CDJ 400 a good player to learn with ?

  • @kniffa yes if u got the money, it's a question to your personal values.

  • @kniffa Ive got it for an year now, and it really teached me some serious stuff, im playing around like a pro now, so yes, they are very good to learn with, they are easy and simple!

  • Cool...what d'you reckons best for midi controlability the 400 or 800?

i want midi/traktor control but also the 800s beafy control wheel...

    :D

  • @hoagy1 400! you need timecode shit for 800s! 400 is so simple! just plug it in

  • I heard a rummer that it takes about ten minutes to load the ipod before it works! Is that true?

  • @tongey89 It takes about 2 mins max,and thats if you have a lot of music on the ipod.

  • @tongey89 Lol nope! it takes from 3sec to 10-12 secs, so dont worry!

  • hmmi am ready for some action any guys want to take the challenge?

  • to connect the cdj-400 to ipod to mobile phone

  • Name of the song is "High" - llorca's remix

  • hello everyone i just want to ask everyone befor i buy a pair of these. What is the difference between the cdj 400 and the 400 K other than the colour difference?

    please reply

  • There are no difference except the colour, and the price.. :)

  • @arabmaan It's the K just the blue limited edition. ?

  • @kenyon050489 yup..

  • What price the Pioneer CDJ-400

  • I've seen them between $600 - $700 new.

    Google it.

  • Comment removed

  • What is the name of the song playing?

  • Don't buy from ebay! Pioneer will not cover For warranty work. I just found this out. they only cover form authorized pioneer Dealers. If you are going to pay Big bucks for pioneer then only get from a authorized dealers

  • ipod touch isn't working with this guy;)

  • @SebassTheDJ R u serious???

  • @bourdvi yes...

  • im after a pair of these, how well do they tie in with the virtual dj program?

  • why would you use virtualDJ with this? - i suggest using Pioneer DJS if you want to use them midi

  • cant choose between thoose and denon 3700 hard choice this one got much effects and the loop divide effect

but the denon 3700 have hot cues , waveform display , bigger jogwheel

  • pioneer for sure man.

  • no way. i would always prefer pioneers quality.

  • how much would a pair of these and the mixer cost in american or canadian?

  • like $2,500 bucks

  • well I just bought 2 plus a djm 400 and flight case for £1,499. In US that'd be $2,505.79 at current exchange rate :)

  • damnn...I guess i'll have to save a bit of money loll...thanks

  • Nope

  • damn thats fucking sick i was thinking about buying the dns-1000 but after see this vid ima go wit the cdj-400!!!!!there sick!!!!!

  • Selling my pair of CDJ-400's for £1,050 Buy It Now on eBay. Item number 200381814859.

  • what cdj you going to get ?

  • You insane, you can buy them new for £499 each!

  • if u go on american ebay u can get a new box pair for 800 quid :) as i am planning

  • is it just me, or does he suck at pressing buttons?

  • i find it really annoying T_T

  • what is better for your money the cdj400 or cdj800?

  • The 400. Theres is almost no difference if there even is a difference at all between the 2.... The cdj 800 might look nicer but the 400 is better buy

  • sounds weird but i'd say: the 400

  • the 400 i would have to say. It has a lot more features than the 800. However, if you want to scratch i would say the 800. Why? look at the platter size differences and you'll get what i say

  • The only thing I don't like, is the time gap between when you select a track, and when your switching... The radius 1000 doesn't have that time gap =/...

  • Can you play with a software?

Put something like the virtual dj e the deck on computer send the music to the cdj.

    Can I do that?

And I have already played with the cdj400 and the scratch funtion arent very good because the jog are too small to do it the cdj800 are really better in this point.

  • I think it can. But for sure, The cdj 400's buttons all have MIDI capability.

  • Oh god! The light of display is BLUE ????

I was sure that they have the classic light white/lightblue !!

  • it has the most clear white display ever - it's the camera..

  • you have to format it in FAT 32

  • Does it have an autoloop?

  • are you just stupid? he says it like 2mins

  • What's the difference between this and the 800?

    Does the 800 have effects?

The 800 is cheaper than this one :S

  • The 800's are way more reliable.

400's platters break and it loads USB really slowly.. :/

  • Fucken thankgod for this tut man i had no idea the 400's had that loop feature!

  • wicked tuturial mate. no biased opinions

  • really nice toturial mate, but i can see theres a problem with me , when it comes to the loading from the ipod to the unit it takes about a sec , isnt there a faster way or load a varaity of songs together ? thnask

  • This is by far the best demo of a DJ "kit", as one famous bloque likes to refer to DJ gear, that I have ever seen. A lot of video demos are filled with too much inflated personal opinions. This one is strait and to the point. Thanks. Well done mate!.

  • Track?

  • 2020 Vision - High

  • he missed sum buttons there :P

  • yea can you connect both decks to the same ipod?

  • ehm... i don't think.... how can you connect one iPod with 2 USBs ? xD

  • extra link usb import duhh

  • no but if you get a mixer you can mix between virtual dj and an ipod with one cdj 400 and have pre cueing from the cdj 400 its pretty sick its like having 3 vinyl tops

  • how do you load songs from your ipod/laptop onto each deck in turn? cause surely it would stop playback if you disconnected it from one deck....but then how are you supposed to line up your next track on the other deck?

  • use two usb devices

  • ive bought 2 of em and they are the best for electro but also for hiphop---ok.... its an good alternative for turntables...

  • can this play mp3 cd's???

  • yes it can

  • oh ok thanks for clearing that up for me

  • this guy is hillarious

  • ma xke preme'?? ke mi sta sul cazzo

  • hes a ranga sir

  • Im a noob with a question.

Would i have to get 2 CDJ's to be able to like play at party's and sets? in other words, i need two of these to go from 1 track to another? like mesh them together?

  • im a noob too, and yes I think thats how it generally works... although you will also need a mixer to mix beats and different songs. If you just want to play one song and mix that song only, I think you may only need one cdj.

  • yeah you need 2 of them and a mixer. if you only have one then you cant fade you can only play the songs on 1 cd one after the other

  • you may want some speakers and headphones too.. maybe some tracks to spin

  • nvm I just realized the title is displayed on the cdj

  • dude what is that song called... it's niceeee

  • so it does only 4 beat loop by pressing the assigned button and longer loop manually pressing in and out?

  • god that looks so fun

  • пиздата

  • does this work with zune? It probably is a noob question, but i would like to make sure before i buy this beast!

  • ive just got 2 myself for £600 with 2 speakers and an amp.got a great deal there from the pawn shop just after christmas

  • so fucking sick, forget ever using cds again.

  • late ? lol just gotten mine luv them <3

  • is it too late to buy those babies?

  • Hope not!

  • £449

    550 euro

  • My comment was a reply to lexshimmy.

  • i hate scratchin' on small jog wheels, being a scratch dj i'll stick to my 1200mk5's

  • wich is better to buy ? pioneer cdj 400 or numark hdx please help me ! :D my yahoo mesenger id it is alexandru13alec ! i wait for help ,tanks !

  • from all the research I've done and ppl I've talked to, the CDJ 400 is the best digital table available excluding the CDJ 1000. Im getting a pair of 400s myself!

  • Really, the beatmaker and usb functionality is what wins on the 400. I was considering picking up some 800's but after seeing how these are as good and cheaper, I'm back to square one.

  • yea defiantly, if i can get my hands on 800s tho for a good price, im goin for the 800s, just these 400s are so convenient it makes the decision hard! Ive talked to some ppl who use 800s and they say its not that hard to just burn CDs, but its all preference i think

  • I decided to go for the 400's. I'm a little disappointed that I can't change the key of the songs (for harmonics), especially when my buddy's axis 9's can do that. Otherwise, the platter itself is really solid, and it works beautifully. Just keep in mind that you can't change keys!

  • so no master tempo button? meaning you cant keep the pitch while adjusting the tempo?

  • Oh no, there is a master tempo button. Its just that you can't individually adjust the KEY from the Tempo. If I move a song that is 150 BPM down to 145, I am stuck with the resulting key. I can't adjust the key past that. I'm not even sure if it has pitch correction.

  • Yeah, I just tried the master tempo button and it does keep the pitch correction. But yeah, you are limited to those two keys. Pretty disappointing since like I said, my buddy paid 300 each for his axis 9's and he has full control over key AND pitch

  • well at leaste you got USB functionality and software controller technology. Get super tech savvy with these and you'll get your bang for your buck!

  • Caracaaa, muito bonito este CDJ 400, o "Designer" da Pioneer ta de parabéns.... EU queroooo Eu queroooo AUHauauau

  • does anybodey know why the cdj 400 is so much cheeper than the dcj 1000?

it seems to be much better!

Onley the jogwheel is a little bit smal.

  • the 1000mk3 has everything the 400 has plus more. The USB/MP3 read, more effects including the ones that come on the 400, more space i think for saving data the bigger jogwheel, some other cool little features liek jogwheel resistance control and more. the 1000mk3s are better.

  • Don't forget the fact that the cdj1000 mkiii is twice as expensive. I think the cdj400 is a great product, with many possibilitys and a shar price :).

  • indeed! i bought a pair myself! :D! <3<3<3

  • lexshimmy

i would hope the 1000mk3 had everything the 400 has plus more as it is twice the price!!! compare 2 different systems that are the same price... wat you have done is basically compare a ferarri to a mazda!!!

  • lolz! I agree! the 1000 is the ferarri of decks!but i would consider the 400s like the 350z of decks rather then a mazda XD!

  • Not true!

The CDJ-1000mk3 has not the abillity to read from USB pens, it can not control DVS without a timecoded cd, and it haven't got the digital jog break effects.

  • you actually right i was just proving that i prefer the 1000 over the 400. In any event i have 400s myself so i also love them :P. Are you dissapointed with your 1000s?

  • Arghh okay :)

Haven't got the 1000's, but have the 800's and are quite satisfied. But I'm gonna upgrade with one 400 soon (for acapellas and digital download). Anyway, my comment was not written because of disappointment on any of the 2 CDJ's, but just wanted to correct you...

  • Can cdj 800 play tune from Ipod mete?

  • no you cant

  • I bought one cdj800 and 400 what do you thing about it mate?Do u get the same sound when u play difernt cdjs?

    thanks

  • I want to controll the CDJ400 with Virtual DJ. Can you connect 2 CDJ400 to an USB mixer and you know the rest.....

  • i am thinking of buying a pair of these, will they be good for a beginner, and wht mixer would suit the CDJ-400

  • mmm.. i think this one doesn't read the actual ipod format, only mp3 that have been dropped to the hard drive of the ipod but not the actual playlists or music you can play with your ipod, correct me if I'm wrong.

  • wow..pioneer cdj-400 or numark iDj2?

  • Ive ordered a pair of these back in Febrauary, but still not recieved them!! Stock issues with Pioneer apparantly, has anyone else had issues with ordering these??

  • where'd you order them from? it took just less than 3 weeks for mine to arrive.

  • mine in 30minutes, i just went to a djshop
